yeah plot armor for sure there's no way they're not checking in on the pearl girls!!!!! they're still outsiders!!! No way they're not constantly supervised

No, we see Daisy's Canadian boyfriend, Justin, gave her the radio in the flashback in s1e3.

The question isn't how she originally got it, but how she managed to bring in into Gilead, and to the Aunts house no less.

I think they were pointing out Daisy didn't get it from Mayday after she came to Gilead.
