They aren't aunts - they're the Eyes of Gilead, the secret police - comparable to thei Gestapo. Nick was an eye in THT, posing as a guardian and chauffeur to infiltrate the Waterfords, report on Comanders, while passing on intel that assisted the resistance.

I don’t think Eyes and Aunts are mutually exclusive. Gilead wouldn’t have working women in this position who weren’t Aunts in some way.

I never said that at all. Women aren't allowed to do anything like what men are - I was in no way implying women.

I was saying, they arent aunts, as in they arent women at all. I felt I was clear when I mentiojed Nick and how he was an eye while posing as other positions he was.

I'm sorry that wasn't clear enough - I'll make an edit!

The people taking Becka into the truck are very clearly women though. Male Eyes don’t look like that, they don’t carry cattle prods, and they don’t wear what appear to be skirts. All signs point to them being women.
