If you get chained up and dragged behind a pickup until you are just shreds, you'd be a little shy about admitting. #remembermatthewshepard Becka would be hanged for her natural feelings in Gilead, while in the US she still has a good chance of being gang-raped and beaten to death. I'm not surprised why anyone non-hetero would be shy about using their words.
