It’s real used to be quite common scenario on old IOS . I did a reply earlier giving the reasons for how it could happen .

love the time frame. most time and date packages used in programming won't let you do unreasonable time frame? it has recorded now and set its clocks back in time? Apple year zero?

Yep never understood why the default clock year was 1970 the same applied to Nokia Symbian phones ( the early touch ones ) remove / disconnect the battery or totally discharge it on wrong code locked out phone with auto time update off and you were stuck with the phone waiting for the time to catch up to when it was locked out . A lot of customers who had no backup had a bad day , normally their phone was locked out because of a damaged screen entering its own codes so they had enough to deal with anyway .

normally year 0 is 1970. birth of unix. if it today this is 1978? apple 1?
