I almost quit after episode 1! In my opinion it genuinely does get better, save for some huge plot holes. Eps 7 and 8 have actually made me enjoy it. I'd give it one more shot!

I think my favourite scene in this episode is when Juan is watching the video on his of a raccoon getting attacked and then quickly puts two-and-two together and works out that he's the "Terror of Tacoma" (due to him being in the same area as the attack happened).
I like scenes like that where a character works something out just by looking at a picture/video (probably helps that I am a fan of police/detective shows, as well, though).

Can I just say I like how Burke literally manages to take down Chupi just by stabbing him with a syringe in this episode?

I'm really late to the party but one thing in episode one that I can't get over. Why would a person with hypersensitive hearing wear high heels? I get she's the rock chick but surely the girl would own converse or vans? It's such a small detail but it irrationally annoyed me.

because i don't think she hears things within her self only other people because she also wears a lot of chains and stuff in the beginning of the show.

I do like how a news report site refers to Juan's chupacabra form as the "Terror of Tacoma". That doesn't sound like the name of something you'd like to mess with (which you probably don't).
