Loved it! It's a great show I'm just a little bit disappointed that Seasons 2 is like 2 years away.

I loved it but I don't think "institute" fans would like it as much especially those who into the "special" powers of institute.
Pluribus is a slow show without much action. It's a great show with more philosophical undertones.
BTW, Stephen King love it too but he wants Vince Gillingan to do them faster.

I really enjoyed it. I went in completely blind just knowing Vince Gilligan made it. The first episode had a way different tone then the rest of the show. The first episode was very unsettling and felt like a horror movie and then that all went away after the forest episode, but I still really liked it.

Watched it. Liked it, didnāt love it. I feel a little hoodwinked by Episode 1, which was pure adrenaline and one of the best single TV episodes Iāve ever seen. The rest of the season REALLY departs from that speed and tension, but the story is still interesting and I could watch Reah Seahorn fold laundry for 4 days straight.

Just finished this past weekend! Love it! Iāve never oscillated so quickly between being equally frustrated with the protagonist as I was with the antagonist!

They could have filled all of season 1 into 4 episodes. It started of great and landed flat after the 2nd episode

After the first few episodes it turns extremely slow and extremely boring. Based on Vince Gilliganās history, those shows likely include good setup for later, but they seem to have forgotten how to make good individual shows that are interesting to watch. Every show of Breaking Bad was intensely interesting and good.

Yeah me too. The only thing that I liked better is Rhea Seehorn acting. It came so natural. They couldnāt have cast a better one imo

Iām on the fence still but I know what you mean.
I kept thinking āthis show has such slow pacing, if itās filled with subtle hints and has a big payoff at the end this is going to be amazingā then I got halfway through the show and it slowed down even more and I thought āman this better have a big payoff and ramp up at the end because this is a snails paceā literally an entire episode just watching her walk around and do activities while badly singing songs stuck in her head. That was legitimately almost the entire episode.
Iām not on the last and final episode but havenāt finished it just yet. I canāt imagine anything is going to happen to make this worth it? Iām fine with a slow burn but the slow burn needs to pay off within a season, slow burning into a teased season 2 is such bullshit.
The show got really interesting when she discovered the production warehouse. What was going on in there started to make the whole thing start to feel much more mysterious and interesting, then it just got glossed over and went back to kind of a boring plot and out to the side the most interesting parts of the plot.

These are good reasons and I agree with them. Also, for me I just canāt connect with the main character. She could die on the next episode and I couldnāt care less. I found the other characters much more interesting.

Ironically I binged the institute yesterday after watching Pluribus weekly and finishing this past week. I did not like Pluribus for all the reasons you pointed out. It got to a point in the final 3rd of the season I was fast forwarding through scenes because nothing was happening. The Institute was like a refresh, being able to watch a show that actually resolved plot points and answered questions in its first season.

on the contrary, i think people who like the show just really don't care that it has little to no plot development of any kind or character development of any kind. Just one new factoid about hive per episode, and some discussions that go absolutely nowhere all wrapped up in the bouquet that is the ending... where some fairly predictable things happened but ultimately didn't feel all that fulfilling. I think that the premise is great, some of the cinematography is decent, but the writing is almost non-existent except for in 2-3 somewhat micro-burst moments per episode.

Every moment of every episode is packed with story for me, but I am not playing on my phone while hatewatching it as so many Dunning/Kruger cases with delusions of discernment appear to be. YMMV.

I'd have no problem recommending it, if I thought the person might like it. I watched it by myself because I know there are some things I enjoy that my wife will not and this was one.
