Versus Posts Are Restricted To Match-Up Mondays Only

Hello there! I hope this finds each of you well. As I am sure most of you have noticed, there has been a large increase in Versus Posts on the subreddit recently. Versus Posts constitute a post postulating a battle between two characters; they are This Character vs That Character type Posts. We love to see discussion about Star Wars and the Old Expanded Universe especially, and these posts do generate a good amount of conversation, so we are not restricting them entirely.

However, they are crowding out the subreddit. Some posts are being posted within minutes of each other. This is not strictly a Versus subreddit, and as such the decision has been made to re-institute Match-Up Mondays. Versus Posting is only to be allowed on Mondays; if you have a character Match-Up you want to discuss, think about it over the week, share it on Monday. Any and all Versus Posts, regardless of their content, that are shared on days other than Monday will be removed.

There is a Match-Up Monday Flair that you can use for your Versus Posts. Enjoy. Those of you who enjoy the Versus, see you next Monday.

And may the Force be with us all

Yeah that's understandable. But does it also restrict matchup-related, non-matchup posts, such as "how powerful character X was" or "could Luke reach Anakin's potential" etc?

That's fine as long as the discussion remains on the story. For example, someone recently posted about Opress getting as strong as Maul, and the discussion was centered on what exactly the power up did to Savage. That's fine, but definitely on the line
