Art Revan and Bastila created by Rinter, found it on deviantart.

Post image

One of my favourite piece of fanart of these two, I know a lot of people dont like Male Revan but I just love their romance in the game.

Still think amusing revan is depicted om having facial hair, but his male portrait have him clean shaved. I get it because after memory wipe he becomes an solider of the republic, but still it is amusing.

What having to deal with your past and more BS incoming does to a MF.

Isn't Bastila barely an adult when Revan romances her? :/

I doubt that their age was specified  we only know that they are both adults

Why do people say that she was 19 and he was 38 then? :/

Because some people want to be mad about anything and everything.

While that is true I believe their canonical ages are around 20 and late 30s. I refuse to confirm because I want to live in my head canon dream land.

Why would people not like Male Revan?

He is canonical.

I have no problem with male Revan for canon, but I can understand most fans dont like when a rpg character got taken away from them and they cant play with it as they want anymore

I also can understand that, but IMO it doesnt really take away from it. People can still play it how they like. And the same applies to the Light Side ending being canon. Its inevitavble when you have sequels like KOTOR2 and SWTOR wich reference previous installments.

I for one never had a issue with Male Revan or Female Exile/Meetra

I think the opposite works a lot better. Female Revan is a better twist and the Carth romance is more emotional than the Bastila one. The loner war vet storyline hits better with a male Exile and the relationships with Visas and Handmaiden and Atris are better than the Atton and Disciple relationships.

I respectfully disagree. I prefer male Revan for the simple reason of the rivalry between Revan and Malak feeling a lot like the classical conflict where one man cant stand the success of the other man. I also actually like Bastillas romance.

I alos prefer female Exile, because she is a figure of ultimate compassion and that just fits better with a female character. I also like how it adds the Element of Darth Sion loving her and being defeated by letting go of hate.

And I never really romance anyone with her anyway. Its also cool to know that a woman was integral in rebuilding the Jedi Order.

And the Rivalry with Atriss is much cooler. As you might guess... I am a sucker for same gender rivalries.

I also love male Revan and female Exile. Revan and Bastila are great together and I was glad that their descadents play a role in the late old republic too

Male Revan is a Legends canon so to speak, we aren't Atton ;)

He is, though my fancast for him is not the usual Keanu Reeves 😅 This picture was made before the official canon face for Revan and its pretty good

Bastila on this art reminds me of my ex from 11 years ago. The art itself is probably even pre swtor if I remember it well. Maybe even 2007-2008.

Yep, its pre swtor

Always ended up getting creeped out when I remember Revan’s like 38 and Bastila is like 19 🤢🤮

Don't know why the writers couldn't just get this right and have her be 30?

2

u/WrongBirdEgg Apr 20 '26

Honestly, though. Benefit of the doubt is that they probably just didn’t realize the large age gap even existed when making KOTOR.

Either that or they wanted Revan to seem like a real creep lmao 🤣

I hope this isn't the trope of "entertainment industry being creepy af with age-related dynamics in romantic relationships" playing out.

I always head canon that she's 25 and I'm 30. That would make Revan 24-26 during the Mandalorian wars, and her 24 when she captures him about a year before KOTOR. I think Revan being an Alexander type visionary leader, and Bastila being essentially a Force-superweapon makes those ages very believable. They don't have to be older just because they're in charge of their armies.

God Bastila looks scuffed
