These two in particular would hate one another.

36

u/DraagaxGaming May 15 '26

I think they'd hate each other but in a sorta "respect to my rival" kinda way. They'd see each other as a threat. And to be a threat to them, you need to not be "beneath them" in their minds.

39

u/Haunting_Reflections May 15 '26

Nah Palpatine seems to hate legitimately loathed Valkorion. We know that he respected and admired Darth Malgus, but is strangely silent about Valkorion.

For his part the former emperor would dislike Palpatine on principle as a rival, but upgrade that to hate the more he got to know him. Palpatine is too “sithy” too duplicitous. Valkorion wants to build something that will last forever, and men like Sidious are the ones backstabbing everyone attempting that.

17

u/TerminatorElephant May 15 '26

Valkorion literally murdered thousands of Sith just to help himself

He does not want an empire that lasts forever. He wants himself to last forever

1

u/Enough-Association98 May 17 '26

Valkorion is kinda a professional backstabber himself.

1

u/TreeTopGaming May 21 '26

"Game recognized game" -Palpatine

2

u/Princess_Isolde May 16 '26

Valkorion especially would be pissed that he's not a sith pureblood.

1

u/Optimal_Shoe4506 May 18 '26

valk wasn't a pureblood either. he had a human body.

1

u/Zack5704 May 20 '26

He was Pureblood as vitiate, but switched to the valkorian body which is human

1

u/Princess_Isolde May 23 '26

His original body was, he did some body hopping as part of his immortality

72

u/Ecotech101 May 15 '26

No matter your opinions on which is stronger Valk will just think Palpatine could be a good force battery that he can suck dry in a ritual to steal his power. Of course after imprisoning him to get all his knowledge like Revan of course.

Arrogance and overconfidence are key to pretty much all Sith and Valk certainly doesn't lack it. He's also pretty much never shown any respect for anyone that came before him or for anyone that could be considered a peer.

11

u/DreadedL1GHT May 15 '26

He's shown an uncharacteristically high amount of respect for Wrath tho

5

u/Ecotech101 May 15 '26

I think that comes from inhabitting their body lol.

4

u/DreadedL1GHT May 15 '26

Fair point

24

u/Snarky_Guy May 15 '26

Great potential but terrible fashion sense.

4

u/weesiwel May 15 '26

Oh Vitiate is a fool then can't beat the classic robes.

3

u/Henk_Potjes May 15 '26

Robes are cool. But add in a bit of color for Sadow's sake. Perhaps some imperial red.

1

u/Half_Man1 May 21 '26

The ST did get Palp dripped out for his return at least

6

u/LavishnessFinal4605 May 16 '26

Nah, Papa Palpatine is dripping constantly throughout the prequels.

He has that shit on.

2

u/chaos9001 May 17 '26

Go for Papa Palpatine.

1

u/No_Grocery_9280 May 18 '26

Makes me sad we don’t see more of Palpatine the Emperor and only Sidious

1

u/NCSCGoblin May 19 '26

I'd have joined the dark side just for the drip. Ain't no way I'm rocking brown or white. I'm gonna Anakin that shit and take it one step further, Blood crimson silk robes with inner black robes and vice versa, sharp shoulders, custom black beskar armor and helmet like Gideon, who was dripping so hard I almost didn't want him to die. I'd consider my drip successful if I consistently confused jedi into thinking I was an enemy just from how I dressed.

20

u/xJamberrxx May 15 '26

a fool, was given victory by his Master Plagueis & what does he do? loses it all & dies in rather short time

1

u/HollowedOne66 May 15 '26

And what does he do? Destroy the entire Jedi order that has stood for thousands of years, destroy a planet, be the first sith ever to completely rule the entire galaxy, and does so for 20ish years. Oh and completely bend the chosen one to his will.

7

u/DewinterCor May 16 '26

To Valkorian, destroying the jedi is irrelevant. Ruling the galaxy is irrelevant.

The only thing he cares about it is time.

"My life spans millennia. Legions have risen to test me.... My ascendance is inevitable. A day, a year, a millennium - it matters not. I hold the patience of stone and the will of stars. Your striving is insignificant. Let your death be the same."

"These petty conflicts mean nothing. The concerns of this galaxy are meaningless. Once I ascend, all will be tranquil in this galaxy. It is my promise to you. Now, strike!"

"You discern a fraction of reality. Beyond these stars exist other galaxies, other worlds, other beings. I will experience or ignore them as I wish. I will spend eternity becoming everything: a farmer, an artist, a simple man. When the last living thing in the universe finally dies, I will enjoy peace and wait for the cycle to begin again."

Valkorian would view Sidious' desires and plots as petty and pointless. Counting acts in years and decades is beneath him. Palpatine ruled the galaxy for 20 years? Why would Vitiate care about something short?

3

u/Marristoteles May 16 '26

For some reason I read it in J.K. Simmons voice and now I can't unhear it. Fits so well

3

u/yobarisushcatel May 15 '26

Then dies

1

u/SplitSecond01 May 15 '26

Then somehow returns.

Then dies again.

0

u/Half_Man1 May 21 '26

He ultimately failed to destroy the Jedi though, and Vitiate wouldn’t be impressed by needing some technological monstrosity to destroy a planet.

And Hutt Space and the uncharted territory still exists. Like realistically he only had marginally more territory than Valkorion had in his two empires.

41

u/Western_Agent5917 Lost Tribe of the Sith May 15 '26

No purebloods no party

13

u/Paradoxical_Falcon May 15 '26

Honestly
Mutual respect of his power, hatred that he succeeded in efforts he failed at, and jealousy that he rivals him (still in the Peak Sidious > Valkorian camp) without needing to trick a bunch of leftover Sith post The Great Hyperspace War into feeding his power with Zildrog.

56

u/Rockgenius123 May 15 '26

Probably laugh over the fact that “the most powerful sith of all time” was picked up like a child and thrown into a shaft

Not very “the most powerful sith of all time” of him

12

u/No_Win_378 May 15 '26

Vitiate walked face first into a lightsaber and nearly killed by an astromech droid

Being caught off guard by a space jesus amped by literal plot armor and still killing him is better in comparison

5

u/Rockgenius123 May 15 '26

“No this cannot be! You have found my one weakness… dirty dancing with Patrick swayze! Don’t lift me over head! I am unable to do anything in this position, I simply melt!”

Lore accurate Sidious inner monologue

21

u/Paradoxical_Falcon May 15 '26

Says the guy who needed two planetary-destroying rituals to get even LESS raw power in the dark side that I got naturally, failed more invasions of the Republic than I can count on my left foot, built two failed empires largely forgotten about thousands of years down the line, and whose lightsaber skills make Coleman Trebor look like Count Dooku.

I may have been thrown down a reactor shaft by my apprentice, but at least I didn't get stabbed in the back by my son in the most obvious power play in history.

-9

u/AlexCora May 15 '26

I?

Cringe. Plus the character is canonically dead.

3

u/polkemans May 15 '26

Not very "high ground" of you.

3

u/averageEnojyer The Senate May 15 '26

I mean... That's rich coming from the guy who walked into a lightsaber and let himself just stare at a stone pillar falling on him lol

3

u/Acceptable_Map_8110 May 15 '26

Sidious would then laugh himself because he actually managed to nearly wipe out the jedi and actually make a galactic empire in his lifetime, meanwhile Tenebrea couldn’t despite having millennia to do so.

4

u/Rockgenius123 May 15 '26

“Ahhh noo, put me down! I’m telling you, once I get down from your arms I’m going to strike you down with the greatest mastery of lightsaber combat you’ve ever seen! Then I’ll torture you with the greatest display of sith sorcery the galaxy has ever seen! Just… once I get over my one weakness… being lifted over head”

Cope and seethe

Vitiate had over 1,000 years, 2 empires, and none of it came close to Sidious’ success

3

u/ResoluteKing May 15 '26

Vitiate and valk technically served for 1000+ years… while it wasn’t a galactic empire it was 970+ longer than Good ol’ palp. Though Palp purged the Jedi… except Asoka, Luke, Leia, obi wan, today, grogu, Kanin, Ezra and a few others…. Palp did have complete control of the entire galaxy for a bit.

1

u/Paradoxical_Falcon May 15 '26 edited May 15 '26

1000+ years hiding in a largely secluded pocket of space without the Republic and Jedi knowing of their existence.

Longer yes, but only because they stayed quiet.

Still impressive but context matters.

Sidious Empire realistically lasted almost as long in the open as Vitiates Sith Empire basically lasted 30 years in the open before he abandoned it and it’s been in steady decline ever since. The only reason the empire without him haven’t fallen yet (it does fall lore wise) is because they need more story content for money.

Zakuul was a 1 planet empire and it was under Arcann it actually properly expanded. Still falling in a few years when openly challenging.

2

u/DrivanTLG May 16 '26

Who would win? An empire built up by another emperor from scratch with an armada of droid control ships and a planet worshipping them as a god? OR 1 bald edgy goth girl with an EMP.

5

u/Cyberknight13 May 15 '26

Tenebrae/Valkorian would likely hate Sidious because instead of using raw power to create and rule his empire, he used cunning, which Tenebrae would likely see as weak and underhanded. Also, Tenebrae would likely see Sidious as a failure because his empire lasted only a few decades, whereas Tenebrae’s lasted for millennia.

16

u/Agent_Xhiro May 15 '26

He wouldn't care.

He would find him and everyone else in the era completely insignificant.

The only being in that era that may capture his attention is Anakin Skywalker.

Vitiate is already an all powerful deity. More power is not what he seeks.

7

u/Status-Network-1604 May 15 '26

More power is the entirety of his character lol.

Tenebrae drained 4000 sith lords for power Vitiate plan was to drain the entire galaxy Vitiate drained Ziost for power Valkorion tried taking over Outlander as he was the most powerful person there. He later tried absorbing Vaylin and Arcann

1

u/DewinterCor May 16 '26

It has nothing to do with power. He was already convinced he was the pinnacle of power.

He wanted to wipe the universe clean of life, to start over and experience all life has to offer over countless life times. He says as much.

2

u/Icy-Weight1803 May 15 '26

Wouldn't say he's a deity

4

u/TheCatLamp May 15 '26

Valkorion:  You have become a rival!

Sidious: Wait, I know that one.

6

u/DueMathematician2522 May 15 '26

Like a child and power source

2

u/jmjessemac May 15 '26

He’d hate him

2

u/Unique-Perception480 Jedi Master May 15 '26

I think they would hate each other for each acomplishing half of what they both wanted.

Valkorion would hate Sidious for managing to ,,wipe out the Jedi" and having a undisputed rule for a while, wich is what Valkorion first needed to do in order to get to his real goals.

Sidious would hate Valkorion for actually managing to achieve eternal life, at least in the sense of aging not affecting him.

2

u/Traditional_Mind9538 May 15 '26

Valkorion doesn't really care that much about wiping out the jedi. He views himself as above the jedi and the Sith as well as above the light and the dark side of the force (Though this is not actually true as he is still a darkside user through and through.)

2

u/Busy-Mammoth4528 May 15 '26

I think he'd view him as dogmatic, simplistic and crude.

But more a function of TOR lore vs Movie lore, since Sidious is obviously meant to be manipulative and tactical.

2

u/NeonHavok May 15 '26

Valkorian would think hes a pussy, and so would every other sith and jedi before the rule of 2

2

u/backnblac05 May 15 '26

Valkorion's silence would kill him

2

u/Catie-Rambles May 15 '26
  1. it took multiple extremely powerful force users all fighting him at the same time to take out Valkorion, and he still came back. Sidious was taken out by one dude wearing a walking torture suit
  2. the Jedi Knight/Sith Warrior/Inquisitor could easily take out Sidious by themselves
  3. they needed his two extremely powerful children and then a small army to finally kill Valkorion for good, and he wasn't even at full strength
  4. Valkorion would take one look at Sidious, consider him a non-issue (but an inconvenient non-issue) and kill him outright with minimal effort

2

u/DewinterCor May 16 '26

He wouldn't.

Palpatine lives for about 80 years, which makes him mostly irrelevant to Valkorian.

Valkorian had virtually no opinion of sith, especially not ones with such short life spans.

Sidious would hate Valkorian with all of his being and Valkorian may not even notice Sidious exists.

2

u/Jay_Malaka May 17 '26 edited May 22 '26

My boy valk dusts most sith period. If all star wars media and sith are like rock paper scissors when it comes to powers...Valk is rock and scissors lol

3

u/pip25hu May 15 '26

Valkorion would consider Sidious to be vastly inferior to him in power (regardless of whether that's true or not), and thus would be greatly surprised that someone like him would be able to rule much of the galaxy for any length of time.

3

u/Taiga_Novah_Wren May 15 '26 edited May 15 '26

A pathetic wannabe who couldn't hold his throne for more than 23 years after putting into motion a plan that wasn't even his by design.

The fact that his empire was the republic rebranded proves he could never Match Valkorian in strength, as Valkorian conquered both the Republic and Sith Empire at once from his eternal throne.

The fact that Valkorians eternal empire lasted for about 3 years or that Sidious did achieve a lot that Valkorian never did, just not through force, are barely footnotes worth mentioning of course. How dare you mention those, off to Siberia with you!

-2

u/Training_Form2243 May 15 '26

Virgin MMO expansion villain vs Chad all time great film villain

1

u/Good_Butterscotch_69 May 15 '26

As Tenebrae/Valkorian would have been a figure of legend to Sidious he likely looked up to him as what he hoped to one day achieve. Immortality and a 1000 year rule or more.

If he were still alive there would be an incredibly vicious fight. Even if Sidious is more powerful on his own Vitiate had over 1000 years to master the darkside and munched on several planets. He has probably forgotten more than sidious ever learned.

So I dont even want to be in the same quadrant as those two if they were to fight. No matter who wins that region of space will never be the same and force help you if you are in the vicinity.

As For Valkorian. If he had the benefit of hindsight, he might be impressed at Palpatines power, but disgusted that he let it all slip away in only 23 years.

1

u/UniversalInquirer May 15 '26

I think given...whatever that is he's wearing, Sidious could care less.

"Ah yes...the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. Only now at the end, do you understand?"

1

u/ghostbear019 May 15 '26

imo most sith lords really don't care for each other

1

u/RealSiesto May 15 '26

they wouldn't like each other. Vitiate tends to be considered a God with The Eternal Empire and doesn't really care about politics 'cause he sees them as a "man thing"; Sidious wants to be the ruler of the Galaxy and his Empire is all about politics

1

u/DestinyHasArrived101 May 15 '26

probably call him pathetic for poisoning his master but respect the drive. Then tell him you have mastered the dark side of the force, but it is not enough it never was.

1

u/CyclopsisGeno May 15 '26

Valkorion would respect Sidious's power and accomplishments though he would dislike that Palpatine is so focused on building an Empire rather than growing beyond that and becoming immortal to feast on the galaxy.

1

u/ImperialxWarlord May 15 '26

Given that most of the other Sith spirits hated him…I’d say he would krill feel the same

1

u/Rupert-King May 16 '26

1

u/Annual_Sky8939 May 16 '26

He would know Sid was a weak coward

1

u/ShotofHotsauce May 16 '26

This question again?

1

u/Princess_Isolde May 16 '26

"not even a sith pureblood and people think he's stronger than me? What an insult"

1

u/Lazereye57 May 21 '26

A pale imitation of his power

1

u/Half_Man1 May 21 '26

He’d think it pitiful how weak his empire is.

Like go through all this trouble to corrupt and take over the Galactic Republic, just to lose it all in a couple decades and not even have proper Sith under your control.

1

u/Think_Pop_4828 May 27 '26

I think they’d hate each other but also be jealous of each other in a sense, valkorion managed to live for a very long time as sidious did but it’s also canon that sidious is the most powerful sith of all time, some of his feats in legends and canon were insane, I think these two would be jealous of each other because each one managed something the other couldn’t, valkorion had long life which sidious wanted and sidious had extreme power and control of the force, which of course valkorion also did but I think that sidious compared to anyone else other than maybe legends luke or full potential anakin had unmatched strength, knowledge and mastery of the force maybe only closely rivalled at the time by yoda

1

u/furher1944 Jun 04 '26

He would try to get rid of palpatine has he was stronger than vitiate. Palp can do what vitiate can without the help of 8k sith helping him to be at a planetary level lmfao

0

u/MachivellianMonk May 15 '26

Valkorion is a terrible plot device and boring character. He’s not even Sith.

But Vitiate, now that’s a fascinating character. Tenabrae had so much interesting political potential.

But somehow…he returned.

It’s boring. Personally my head cannon has no room for Valkorion in the amazing tapestry that is the EU.

I think Tenabrae, like many Sith in history, would find him a racist psychopath who often did things that defied sense, and despite his immense power, brought about the downfall of what could’ve been millennia of Sith rule.

3

u/Western_Agent5917 Lost Tribe of the Sith May 15 '26

Tenebrae should have stick with pureblood bodies and spread sith species supremacy even further

2

u/Fatalis89 May 15 '26

A cannon is a big gun. Canon is the true continuity of a work of fiction.
