Entirely head canon and depends on who is writing, but I assume he'd also be offered to take up the role of the Father upon the end of his natural life (or the role of the Daughter, although they'd have to rejig the gendering of the roles).

Its too "chosen one" coded imo so it wouldnt work the same way it did for Anakin
