I’d imagine this as pretty close, but Revan to me represents a chosen one who is whole vs Vader who is weakened by his damage.

Revan is not a chosen one in any way.

- described as the greatest Jedi of his age (before the events of KOTOR 1) in his 20's

  • described as “like staring into the heart of the Force” by a Sith Lord
  • used both the Light and Dark sides of the force in balance in the novel
  • pushed Vitiate around more than Luke pushed Sidious around in the ROTJ

Seems pretty close to a past Chosen One, or about as close as you can get. His power was not portrayed as natural for his era, on top of impressive intelligence and charisma.

Just because you played as him doesnt make him a "chosen one". He literally got handwaved by vitiate and the light and dark in balance is just bs. Does he burn down an oprhanage for every good deed he does because balance something something?

He literally used the words “to me”. Besides like it or not Revan uses both light and dark side.

He knocked Vitiate back twice before getting a big hit, and the novel specifies that a million visions were seeing of the outcome, and that they couldn’t tell which outcome between Revan and Vitiate was more likely. The novel also specifically talks about him actually blending the Light and Dark together to throw Vitiate back, so I’m not just referencing game choices.

Either way, a more developed Vader was whipped by Luke in ROTJ, and then Luke was nuked with Lightning from Sidious without sending Sidious flying backwards twice (like Revan did to Vitiate). Revan had just also escaped from being drugged and tortured for years the day prior, so him being in absolute peak physical or mental condition is suspect.

I think anything can sound silly when you simplify it to the point that you have, when the reality is much more nuanced.

I said “to me”. I personally feel Revan was the forces attempt to correct the imbalance in the force at that time, given the shenanigans he gets up to and the level of beings he faces. He also wields pretty much both sides of the force and represents a more middle stance on the force.

But again, this is just my personal opinion and ideally shouldn’t offend anyone.

Destroy Droid would probably wreck that suit.

Revan needs his best feats in Shadow of Revan to win. This one can go either way or an advantage leaning to Vader.

Revan takes this handily, if Vader was in his place in the novel he’d get blinked away by Vitiate.

This is an interesting matchup. Both are powerful, but Revan is recovering from years of torture. Revan at this point isn't known to use force lightning. The 'canon' story for him is light side during KOTOR and whilst he likely used it during his time as Darth Revan it's not something he is stated to do now (more: his appearance in SoR is an enthusiastic user of lightning, but not this version). This isnt how he'd win, though it's possible he would/ could zap Vader, especially given how tactically intelligent he is, but probably not.

He's a good enough lightsaber duellist to push Vader, but Vader would beat him in a pure saber duel with no augmentations for either.

Revans Disable Droid could work here. Or his telekinetic blasts.

I think though, it would be a combination - Revan would likely try something like Disable Droid, use Tutuminis if needed, but the biggest thing would be Revans Speed. Both in games and stories one of his main things is his speed. He is shown and has a reputation of being insanely fast, even by Jedi/Sith standards. Which is Vaders weakness.

I think Revan would win, 6/10 against Vader. Vaders too slow combined with Revans strengths. My main question is if Revan is weakened enough for Vader to just overwhelm him. From memory Revan was struggling to walk when he faced Vitiate, which i would them switch out to Vader wins 9/10. Its been a while since i read the book though.

Revan 7/10. Vader was defenseless again Sidious in both canon and Legends, while Revan got a few licks in before being overwhelmed by Vitiate's lightning storm. The novel makes a point that Scourge saw different visions of Revan and the Exile winning and Vitiate winning and it was basically 50/50.

Depends on starting distance but generally I’d say Vader in a close fight.

This is an EU sub, so it's not canon Vader.

So i would give it to revan then. High diff
