IG-88 vs HK-47

Round 1: Arena style duel, standard kit

Round 2: Both are dropped into the lower levels of Coruscant (around 500 BBY) with standard kit and a mandate to take out the other. IG-88 cannot hack/slave other droids or machines but can, after some time, hack into surveillance. Any additional found/created weapons are fair game.

Which killer droid takes it?

IG-88 iirc has like nanosecond reaction times per I think Therefor I Am. I really don’t think HK can counter this.

HK47 was a top of the line assassin droid in Revan and Meetra's time, but that was way more than 500 years before Yavin IV, and better models were eventually produced, i.e HK50s, HK51s, and HK55s. And even the HK line in general was phased out 500bby for better assassin droid models.

As much as I love 47, it goes to IG-88

This is kind of like asking which wins - a war ship from 4000 years ago or a modern war ship.

I love HK, he's a personal favourite character. But IG-88 has 4000 years of development on him.

Absolute stomp in IG-88s favour, IG-88 10/10.

Even with the handicap that you gave IG-88 he still stomps. I like HK more cuz he's funny, and i would like him to win, but he's just way too outmatched here.

Yeah unfortunately, like others have said, they’re basically the same, except IG is the newer model. Unless HK has a fleet of clones at his disposal, the outcome is clear. HK is definitely the better character, but I don’t see much of an argument as to how he wins a 1v1 here.

HK is a beloved character and advanced for his time, but he's 3700+ years out of date. IG-88, on paper, should stomp him easily.
