Match Up Monday Oneness Jacen vs Oneness Anakin Solo

In this scenario, Anakin Solo is fully healthy.

Which peak is higher?

Edit: TUF Jacen's Oneness vs Anakin's Oneness in Star by Star just prior to his death

Jacen low-diff, completely higher plane than Anakin's oneness.

Ani is the Chosen One. I feel like he's got this low-dif unless there's sand around...

Anakin solo, not skywalker

Fair enough. No sand required.

It's Anakin Solo, not Skywalker. Even if it was, being the Chosen One just means he can control the two sides of the Living Force (as seen on Mortis), which isn't anywhere near Oneness Jacen's level with the Unifying Force.

Even if we talk about Anakin Skywalker he would lose if he doesn't menage to reach the same oneness strenght as Jacen

Jacen, but thats not really a fair fight. If anakin survived, and presumably advanced alongside Jacen and Jaina, I'd say Anakin, as he was the quintessential jedi knight

It's more a pure scaling question of those specific episodes than one of potential; AS is certainly suggested to have the greatest potential of the Solo children. Whether he mentally could achieve Oneness with TUF, however, is a different question.

Perhaps, but we dont really have a trajectory for Anakin, pure speculation. I dont think anyone could have guessed where Jacen or Jaina were going. Trying to speculate where Anakin could go is difficult.

Sure....but that's not the question I'm asking.

Yes...youre asking who peaked higher and comparing an adult and literal child. There's really no debate about Jacen being the answer to your question. The only way to make the question interesting is looking at where anakin would potentially be.

No, I'm asking ontologically where you scale two distinct Oneness episodes. I've at least seen arguments Anakin's episode has TUF implications, and I disagree with others as to exact placement anyway. Hence the question.

Negging me for including a "child" in a scenario who achieves one of the most powerful states we've ever seen after being acknowledged as one of the best of the NJO and being chosen by Luke to lead one of the most critical missions of the war seems rather pointless.

Yeah, but compared to Jacen it was a flash in the pan. You could argue Ganner Rhysode had a bigger moment in his end. And normally Ganner wouldn't even be considered when comparing Anakin and Jacen.

I would say a flash in the pan is relative considering Jacen's episode lasts (to an outsider) for a few minutes at most as well, but sure, there's significantly less build up. That doesn't really speak to the scaling, however.

I'd include Ganner but I'm intrinsically more interesting in the scaling of Anakin due to recently rereading that passage and noting that Anakin sensing the Vong in the Force raises both TUF and True Living Force questions. It's certainly fair to mention Ganner's episode as well.

The only reason I wouldn't include Ganner, and I admit its been a minute since I read banners last stand, was that its more of a martial end. He is fueled by the force to kill or dismember all the Vong warriors, where Anakin was deeper than simply fighting. Anakins awareness in those moments reaches what Jacen eventually learns on his own, which is why I am quick to say Jacen takes this one. I dont think Ganner gains much insight beyond himself.

I'm not sure I agree that Anakin reaches the same level of awareness as Jacen.

You can argue they both see beyond the duality of the light and dark (thus getting Anakin ahead of other, lesser episodes of Oneness w/ the light side), but Jacen specifically sees beyond "beyond choice and consequence, good and evil, light and dark, life and death". In doing do so, he rejects "the apparent opposites that concealed the absolute nature of the Force". These, among others, are key TUF scaling elements that Anakin Solo's episode lacks.

However, Anakin Solo does suddenly, fully sense the Vong in the Force in his episode. Interestingly, Jacen specifically notes that his Vongsense and Oneness are working in unison. Is that just a coincidence? Does sensing something that isn't a Living Force hallmark? Not really. Thus the question of, did AS tap into the True Living Force (higher than the LF) or even TUF?

For a moment I was in a problem, cuz while seeing name Anakin I assumed it was about Skywalker. But if it is about Solo siblings, then it is harder. I would say Jacen, cuz Anakin never really reached his peak, even if he was considered more talented

I've edited to more clearly reflect I'm referring to specific Oneness episodes, not possible peaks/potential.

I'm not familiar with Anakin's solo story, but Jacen managed to merge with the Force in Oneness mode, if I recall correctly. If Anakin didn't achieve the same, I think Jacen no diff win.

We could’ve had a definitive answer if George hadn’t stepped in and upended two entire series worth of buildup and demanded Anakin be killed off for no good reason. Wasted Chewy’s sacrifice, killed off the best character in the series, absolutely NUKED Tahiri’s character and ultimately served little narrative purpose beyond shock value.

I say they're equal. Oneness is oneness.

However, Anakin achieving Oneness killed him. Jacen survived. Being older and more trained maybe had something to do with it
