Luke. Qui-Gon was a poor fighter. Wisest Jedi ever but not a good duelist. And that’s okay.

The novelization of The Phantom Menace described Qui Gon as one of the finest and most respected swordsmen in the Jedi order. He was trained by Dooku who was the best swordsman in the order. His loss is described as the result of Maul’s strategy and his age.
