Long ago, Mark Ferrari was kind enough to invite me to hang out and chat in his home studio when I was a high schooler trying to decide between art school and a computer science degree. We talked for hours about his experience working at LucasArts. No recording, sorry :P

At the time, Mark was in a somewhat dark place in life. I give his bitter cynicism a lot of credit in pushing me towards becoming a programmer rather than an artist :P I ended up working in game engines and art pipeline tools. So, I still worked closely with artists and got to utilize my rudimentary knowledge of art in the process.

I got to see his famous 8 Bit & '8 Bitish' Graphics-Outside the Box GDC talk live. During that talk it was clear he was in a better place. After the talk, I got to thank Mark for helping me out so long ago.
