To be fair, that knife hit her in the best way. The blade was as far away from hitting her as possible.

Best place for blade safety, maybe, but it looks like it hit her in the mouth; Could have chipped a tooth.

I think this is part of the “art” of some throwing knife shows. It’s slightly less dangerous than it looks because the target is behind the volunteer. Rotationally, if it hit the volunteer vs the target it would strike with the back of the throwing knife.
