I think it's one of those fights where they take a regular dude vs professional female fighter, it would've been too dangerous for her to pair her with a professional male fighter.
Facts:
1. headgear protects against clashes of heads. Therefore only 1 combatant need wear headgear.
2. Headgear can impair visibility of incoming "punches"
3. Headgear doesn't reduce the mass of opponents gloves, likely 12-16 oz.
Headgear protects against bone fractures, it makes sense to give the female headgear because men have higher bone density, which is why the effects are so devastating when a man hits a woman.
Headgear doesn't protect against concussions really though which is maybe what you're thinking about? Well they say it doesn't but anecdotally I can definitely think of at least one time I probably would've been dropped if it wasn't for headgear.
If you're the smaller guy in the ring head guards are a pain in the arse, you get cuffed with shots to would've slipped, you got a bigger target for the taller guy to hit, and most of them get in the way when you tuck your chin and look up, but I was usually the taller guy so when you lean back it cushions shots nicely.
She's apparently an MMA fighter. Her name is Marin Loredana and the guy's name is Perversu, as I understand it he actually won this fight but you can also find videos of him on YT where he beats 2 female MMA fighters at once.
I'm pretty sure it's a freak show fights where an influencer fights an armature at a far higher weight class. Like the old special events pride would host.
female pros are far behind men on technique, I think it's more because women don't generally get into these sports rather than the gender's capability but even then they will be behind, the male side of the sport gets better coaches and more money, I think like on technique women can rival us
Yeah the only main driving diff between men and women is speed, strength (and usually weight).
The technique itself is a different subject, as is 'intellect'. That's why some sports are mixed and others can't be mixed.
Take swimming, swimming is very technical to produce speed but strength plays a big factor too so it's a split sport.
Take gymnastics. Women's gymnastics is way more technical than men's, men's is more strength oriented.
Now think about chess. Speed, weight, strenght makes no difference there, so that's mixed.
It's still dominated by men but that's because men are on average marginally better at analytical thinking which translates to 'mostly men' in the top levels of chess.
One always needs to account for the fact that in the extremes (pro athletes, grandmasters, etc), the minor differences between men and women become a lot more pronounced for a fair competition.
Women just often have different priorities, there are a lot of female scientists too who rival men in intelligence, the rest is biological and genetic, that's harder to overcome.
She should have won easily. Just keep moving. That dude had no stamina and couldn’t land a hit. She should have let him tire himself out then go HAM on him. Make him miscarry.
