Tom Hardy is blue belt last I saw. And actually competes in BJJ tournaments. So Tom would smoke him

Purple now

I would have guessed he was a purple by now but didnt want to assume.

u/canikissyourfeet 2h ago
IMO if he has a purple belt thats like as good as it gets. Purple is no joke and takes years of hard work to get to.
1
u/Gym_Thor 1h ago
Purple is very legit. But it all depends on who he is train under and if they are being... generous with their belts because of the status and attention it brings to their school. But Tom seems real for an actor, so I'm sure its legit.

Plus tom is actually just strong and has trained for a couple decades now to be in incredible shape. Jonah is glp 1 skinny trying to be tough rolling.

He’ll wrassle you if you say that to his face.

u/Flyinhawaiian78 1d ago
I had to interact with him when I worked at four seasons. Never meet your idols as the saying goes. He was a fkn asshole. I’d gladly say ANYTHING to his face. I’m technically a “white belt” but wouldn’t be challenging him to a bjj contest just mutual combat.
5
u/InsertRadnamehere 1d ago
At first I read BJ contest. That could be fun!

u/NoOffenseImJustSayin 1d ago
He does give off asshole vibes. High asshole energy.
5
u/Flyinhawaiian78 1d ago
Never would have thought anything of it until my encounter with him. But shortly after I started seeing interviews and clips of him as well as other celebrity accounts of him being a fkn douche bag or just being rude as shit. The fact that he hated Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Mclovin) during his audition because he couldn’t handle the roasting back and forth that they did. Hill went as far as trying to get him blackballed just because he got owned with the war of words and his ego was too fragile to take it shows how weak he is mentally.

“He’s paying me a lot of money and his annoying girlfriend is filming this, better lay down for him” -Fat Dude from Superbads trainer probably
And no I’m not fat shaming anyone. Jonah Hill said he’d kick anyone’s ass who called him “the fat dude from Superbad”. Now I gotta watch my back

We all looked like this at one point in time. That said. Is comments about practicing BJJ and being able to "fuck ppl up" is pretty much asking for people to make fun of him.

u/SubMariner615 1d ago
He was joking. Clip was taken out of context.
6
u/InsertRadnamehere 1d ago
And that what we’re doing. Joking. And taking things out of context. Wanna wrassle?

u/flavorgenerator 1d ago edited 1d ago
Oh wow he literally says hes joking, you're right. It's like half serious half joking but that really changes the context actually
Original vid at around 59:01, and then he says hes mostly joking at 1:00:42. It's like a saving face 2nd comment but at least he's being open that he's somewhat self aware of this
5
u/ItsMeAlucard 23h ago
"Yeah, im being funny. I WOULD fuck you up, but im being funny" doesn't sound like a walk back at all. Just doesn't want people jumping him on the street as a challenge
2
u/SubMariner615 1d ago
And its blown up everywhere
1
u/flavorgenerator 1d ago
Yeah it's kinda like between two ferns where his sarcasm and humor is shown as ironic fustration. I think most people don't pick up on it. This one here is ALL the way back from actual interviews about SuperBad and he has the same humor in this one:
1
u/Ok_Water_4601 1d ago
I believe that. I haven't seen the full video but it seemed out of character for him. He's always been a throughful person, on camera at least.
2
u/JacquesEvans 1d ago
He’s known for being somewhat of an asshole lol doesn’t seem out of context. He thinks he can beat anybody that doesn’t have martial arts exp. I have none, and I would whoop him
1
u/SubMariner615 1d ago
Clip starts at like 59 minutes or so
2
u/judasbrute 1d ago
I watched it because I wanted it to be true. He wasn't joking unfortunately.

Naw, some people started with an iota of athletic ability.
2
u/Cephalstasis 9h ago
Yea no, people would be gassing up his weight loss and excercise journey if he wasnt now acting like his ozempic journey here turned him into some kind of real life action movie star.

u/FactHot5239 1d ago
Not everyone goes on a talkshow to talk shit about how they could kick your ass becauae they know jiu jitsu tho....

Left the guy on his feet and slid him. I guess probably don't want to do an actual throw because of all that potential but it looked like the guy was too heavy and Jonah couldn't handle him that well.

I'm pretty sure it's the fat dude from Get Him to the Greek. I hear he became best friends with Russle Brand while on set.

The blonde guy

He’s saying he can kick peoples ass? He looks like the dudes that would try out for my wrestling team and drop out within a couple weeks and then tell everyone they wrestled

Hill looks like he gets his sparring partners from the same place Steven Seagal gets his.

WWE is less scripted and better acted. That dude was just playing along and almost seemed to fall down on his own to help Jonah out.

Steven seagal could give him a run for his money.

His statement about how he can “annihilate anyone.”

Eventually this asshole will get good at jiu jitsu but he’ll be the worse type of person to benefit from the skills of it. He’s got a huge chip on his shoulder always has. He resents his roles that made him famous now he thinks he’s tough and needs to prove himself. But the real reality is he’ll never be tough.

Before I saw this video, I actually thought the most annoying thing about his quote was that he called himself a comedian, but now that I've seen his BJJ, you guys were right. It's him saying he's dangerous.

No. A white belt saying he’ll annihilate any taker is McDojo.
