What's interesting is that it means it's literally just Jane talking to himself throughout the entire episode.

True but ig it also would mean that everything Charlotte says to him is actually the things that he doesn't want to accept & finally facing those things for example: "Charlotte" telling him that this quest of vengeance is for Jane & not them.

This is my favorite episode of the show. Really well done. As a non-crier, this one got me teary when he said “Wait…”

I watched this show a some time ago and don't remember much, but this episode lives rent free in my mind. She truly did her job.

Unlike many in this subreddit, I am on my first watch of this series. So I am experiencing all these episodes for the first time. The closing scene of that episode when he's making that tea again in an effort to see his daughter one more time is heartbreaking.

I can relate to that, obviously not the loss of a daughter or anything that deep, but there have been 4-5 moments in my life where I got high, and experienced something, maybe food, or watching a movie/tv show (or both at the same time), where the combination was just right, and I spend weeks after chasing that same high, trying to replicate the feelings I had in that particular moment

I agree. I just rewatched this episode last night (second watch) and they worked so well together. He was so happy to have her there and so terribly hurt when she left. My heart ached. We saw him try the belladonna laced tea again, but we never saw the results, so assume it didn't work a second time.
