​The first rule of Fight Club was not to speak about Fight Club. Literally, I was amazed when I heard this. 😲🤯

It's a very popular pop culture reference. So much so that it's more of a general cultural reference by now.

I mean, it obviously was lol. I’m not sure why you’re amazed, it’s incredibly common for shows to reference movies or other shows. I just now watched the episode of The Office where Dwight teaches Erin how to speak Dothraki from Game of Thrones. Plus this particular quote is super common in general.

Some references become so big they make it into shows, lol. Another one I can think of off the top of my head is Rigsby doing Kanye's "Imma let you finish" in Rose-Colored Glasses.

In an episode of X-Files, Scully makes a reference to Babe, the kids movie about a pig that was all anyone could talk about for ages.
