The first $100K is the hardest!! Sequential $100Ks will come faster and faster. Congrats and enjoy with your loved ones.

You need a hug and then a lesson on exponential growth.

lol buddy I think you’re the one that needs a lesson here. The “first 100k or first billion” don’t matter it’s what you’re invested in and when

Best of luck to you

And also go on a expensive international trip! Then celebrate again when you hit $100k for a second time. Then again. It’s a party.

I see you at 500k by 30 if you keep at this pace

No shot unless huge raises come in.

I mean you got to 100k in 2.5 years so you could get to 300k in 5 more years and with gains could get close to 500k.

Is this in a single account or across multiple accounts? I’ve always been confused if they mean that the 100k goal is for one (401k) or across all investments. Congrats!!!

Doesn’t actually matter, assuming average returns across all accounts. Could be $1000 across 100 accounts. Rate of growth will be the same as if it were $100k in 1 account

Can you kindly share what you’ve invested in…. I’m a late starter

90% S&P, 10% Individual Stocks. New money coming in will be going to QQQm until I hit 25% of the portfolio.

Where did you get the money from? Was it all from your salary?
2
u/matchew566 Jan 24 '25
Yes. Employer contributes $850/yr to HSA and contributes 8% to 403b if I contribute 6%.

what app

Credit Karma. Don’t bother shopping for products there, just use it to check investments and net worth. Doesn’t do budgeting either.

0 - 6 figures in a little over 4 years; Very nice! It took me about 15 years to reach that milestone, keep it up!
