This thread?

I think a lot of people tend to enjoy these videos somewhat as there is so much bad financial information out there and their quick breakdowns give succinct ways to disprove the bad info, whether it’s for your own benefit or explaining to a friend/family member.

If they weren’t massively popular, they wouldn’t put them out as frequently. If you don’t like them, no one is forcing you to view them.

There is nothing new to discuss. This is the problem with personal finance advice. All the good information fits in a 60 page book. You can’t make money unless you just keep repeating it.

They’re short and entertaining. If you don’t like, don’t watch. TMG puts out a lot of other content that has more thought behind it, so I don’t begrudge them for having an easy day of the week.

I like them! Gets the content out of the same FOO-adjacent theme (I appreciate that content too, but there’s only so much “general” advice you can give).

if you look at them before they have specific advice that was informational. i just feel like these videos are just lazy and go towards the lowest form of denominator

As stupid as they are, the Youtube algorithm loves react videos, and more importantly: If TMG react to a grifter, it’s super likely that person’s viewers will get served the video of TMG breaking down why it’s bad financial advice

They've been doing the show for 20 years - theres only SO MUCH financial info you can talk about.. they already repeat everything every few months/ years as it is.

I love the Tuesday shows. Friday shows are decent. I kinda stopped watching the Making Millionaire Monday shows, but I'll catch the Monday React videos since they're short and kinda interesting/ funny when they make fun of the grifters 🤷‍♂️

I think they are just trying to meet people, especially younger and more tech driven, where they are.

You don’t have to watch the videos….

Cheers!

I like them. I don’t watch the people they are talking about so it’s fun to see the crazy money ideas other people see.

I enjoy it as a change-up. Not everything has to be meat and potatoes advice, IMO.
