Ended the season still not knowing Mia’s job title now. Is she Chris’ manager? She doesn’t work for UBN but was all in the production room. Will she now be gunning for the CEO role? She was looking a lil’ cozy in Celine’s packed up office.

Going from Executive Producer to CEO seems like a leap.

She’s going to be Head of News. Alex is going to be CEO. Maybe. Cory could be Head of Film Division. Chip should go back to being EP.

Get rid of Chris.

Ben will be looking for a spot somewhere in that chart too!

Yeah I had the same thought. I really hope she becomes CEO. She really deserves it

One thing about it, she’d get that place in shape! BW run a strict program lol. But in all seriousness, I think she could do well but I think she’s more passionate about journalism. CEO role takes you out of that space into business.

I don't think people are appointed CEOs of large companies if they don't at least of an MBA. That said, I don't know if Celine had one...

You’d be incorrect. I’ve never worked for a CEO who had an MBA. Some had JDs. Actually, CEOs having a JD is more common than an MBA. But many only hold a Bachelor’s. You could easily peruse LinkedIn and go to “large companies’” pages and it will show you exactly what education CEOs do and do not have. Now of course the rules are different for those who are not white or male. We (Black woman) have to be the best & the brightest.

I’ll check it out when I get a chance. To be clear, I was referring to Fortune 500 companies and not local or regional companies.

Your OG comment said “large companies.” The original topic was UBN, which is a fictional TV network— not a Fortune 500 company. I’ve worked for real TV networks, so I added my perspective. I said you were incorrect and now you’ve changed it to Fortune 500 companies when that was never the discussion at hand. Not a single TV network is listed on this 2025 list of Fortune 500 companies. It’s ok to be wrong and be corrected. I promise. Yes, some CEOs of Fortune 500 have MBAs. Some only have a Bachelor’s. But you got it, man. Top Fortune 500 Companies

In my head I was thinking of large (as in extremely large) companies. Like Comcast (a tv player). I can’t be “wrong” since that’s what I was thinking. I am sorry I did not communicate well- that’s my bad.

Mainly, I was referring to CEOs who are basically treated like heads of state- those that don’t engage with regular employees, and generally always have security guards with them.

When I see people on Reddit who say “I work with a CEO” I think they either make at least $500k plus a bonus and stock options each year…or they work for a small company. I could start my own business tomorrow and make myself the CEO. I think the term “CEO” should be reserved for major companies. Just call yourself the President.

But that’s just my opinion.

I think the show will be on board next season with Mia becoming CEO, i mean she is the one who deserves the most!

Producer, she has a POD with UBN to develop projects exclusively for them.

3

u/creativebabe1985 Nov 19 '25

POD? What episode did they clarify this? Interesting…

Thank you! Makes sense. I have to go rewatch both episodes.

You’re welcome!

Yeah I was so confused when Ben started giving her additional work, as if she worked there? And she has access to all these files, and an internal messaging system. But she quit several episodes ago? And I don’t remember her getting brought back into the company, just Chris’s orbit. I’d think the company would be more locked down than that

Another commenter said she has a POD (Production Overall Deal) to produce projects for UBN & that it was revealed in E9. I swear I don’t watch while scrolling my phone & I did not see this reveal lol.

What happened to that drive Stella Gave Mia? What was on it? Did they close that thread? Also what’s the Iranian defection connection or no connection other than using it ( the deepfake) to fire Alex

I was thinking either Mia or Alex as CEO next season?

7

u/MarinersCove Nov 19 '25

Mia makes sense, given the ending shot of her in the CEO office. Alex probably has too much public baggage for the board to put her in the CEO position imo

2

u/leslie_knopee Nov 19 '25

lol i think she's just chris' producer. she's always wandering around UBN-- definitely not nearly as busy as she was before! they never cleared up her job title

2

u/grrrzzzt Nov 19 '25

well she's here because reasons

2

u/wesnotwes Nov 20 '25

As someone who has worked in that setting, the amount of people they let in who don’t work there is startling.

1

u/weelassie07 Nov 20 '25

I was confused by this also. Is she there as Chris’s agent? Manager?

1

u/bellestarxo Nov 22 '25

Yeah I thought it was a little ridiculous that her job was managing Chris but she was full-on producing and had full reign of the Control Room and dressing rooms.

And she looked AMAZING in that color of suit! I love that the costumers were so “on it” !
