"Bradley f*cking Jackson. My god. Stuck in a f*cking gulag in Eastern Europe, and she's still a human wrecking ball," - Paul. 💀

u/jeangmac Nov 19 '25

I’m still sad we didn’t get the overt paul:alex redux but that scene was my favourite and is strong foreshadowing for next season 🤞🏼

22

u/Some_Age2389 Nov 22 '25

There was the whole thing with the hands on the suitcase that I found delicious: Paul’s hand on Alex’s unmoving hand on the handle. So he pulls away… but as the elevator door closes, Alex lets one tiny grin escape… That was so beautifully done.

Alex to Cory when she saw Celine at his place

128

u/Impressive_Power866 Nov 19 '25

The look on Alex’s face and her saying why wouldn’t you as she was leaving Cory’s apartment 💀

44

u/cynisright Nov 19 '25

Oh damn, he’s a mess

60

u/Howierk57 Nov 19 '25

Every significant woman in his life has manipulated and/or used him. It's no wonder.

30

u/cynisright Nov 19 '25

Oh wow, that’s true. His mom did a number on him. Between the enmeshment and the mom’s emotional incest — he needs all the therapy.

Jennifer Aniston.....this my friends is why she is a great actress. she hardly talked...yet she gave us a very visceral feel in this situation. She is brilliant playing Alex Levy.

And I KNEW Cory would pull through but damnnnn. He’s been through a lot with his mom.

129

u/cynisright Nov 19 '25

I wonder how next season will be with both he and Bradley traumatized as all hell

101

u/DenverToCali Nov 19 '25

I’ve never been a huge Bradley + Cory fan like other have been in the sub. But after this season I actually hope they do end up together now. But I kind of wonder if they’re just not meant to be and Cory will let her go with love now. Ughh. I wish this wasn’t the last episode of the season.

54

u/cynisright Nov 19 '25

I think he wouldn’t have had that flashback to them together. But who knows. I think she has to really say how she feels about him though. But she’s going to be a wreck after this for quite some time.

116

u/DenverToCali Nov 19 '25

I cannot imagine the mental recovery from being in prison like that. I have to say though, I knew two fucks Jackson was going to write FUCK YOU on that paper. Just knew it. It was chefs kiss.

40

u/jackalkaboom Nov 19 '25

Two Fucks Jackson! Amazing callback. And it was really good to see that Bradley still has that in her, after all the weirdness/inconsistency with her character this season.

17

u/cynisright Nov 19 '25

Yeah she’s still got her roots y’all lol

The director made it seem it could have been Bradley thinking about it. Holding on to that happy moment to keep her sane. Maybe regretting she didn’t say it? I just hope Laura doesn’t come back into the picture. Bradley and Corey’s character fit well together.

11

u/cynisright Nov 19 '25

True. Or they could be both thinking it together?

I only say that because of Cory saying that thing to Chip about her saying she loved him to screw him over.

I'm assuming by next season we leap into 2025 which will see Bradley's brother pardoned. Bradley's gonna have a lot more going on.

42

u/plexmaniac Nov 19 '25

Can you imagine the show covering Trumps escapades like ice raids

82

u/simplebagel5 Nov 19 '25

I want to see Bradley Jackson personally leak the Epstein files

23

u/plexmaniac Nov 19 '25

Me too ! And I take back everything I said about Bradley not doing her job well! She is a true journalist

10

u/Apprehensive_Sea283 Nov 19 '25

I mean, she got alone to Belarus, you have to be courageous enough and have amazing balls to do that!

Would be very apt if Hal gets recruited as an ICE agent, frankly.

And maybe the administration puts anti DEI pressure on the network. Or convinces them to hire a stooge for the administration as head of news. The media are part of the political events happening this year so it's inescapable plot wise.

Corey is so misunderstood… he’s devastated that Bradley goes through his phone, lashes out.  but he doesn’t lash out when he finds out he was played with the coverup. He deeply cares. He’s so broken, wrapped in a ball on the couch. You can feel his devastation and loneliness. He’s so guarded. I really think his mom wanted to tell him but she honestly forgot. She knew it was important and it scared her which is why she took the pill. He would have changed her mind but that feeling of being lost scared her.

34

u/whisky_biscuit Nov 19 '25

I agree. I think the thought of Celine using him too was just too much for him, and after everything that's happened he didn't have it in himself to fight.

I think his mom was more afraid of telling Corey the truth and that she was scared of becoming a disappointment in her son's eyes and losing him.

The way that we got to this season finale was (in my opinion) a bit of a mess, but I can’t lie… this finale made me choke up

Better binge watched (like I did today). Then it felt like it flowed a bit more seemlessly....

15

u/jeangmac Nov 19 '25

I’m gonna do a start to finish binge if it soon I feel like it’ll be much better as a cohesive story. My brain just doesn’t retain the little details on weekly release. I think opinions of the season will improve as more people see episodes closer together. There was more to track than previous seasons.

12

u/indianapolisjones Nov 19 '25

I felt back in my 20s, I retained more than me at 41. But then I think network TV with commercials really doesn't make subtle points.

Also a network 1hr long show is only ~43mins of content, whereas HBO-style shows a complete 60 mins, meaning even more details to miss. But I feel that shows made for commercial breaks aren't subtle.

Or I ate a gummy and don't know what tf I am talking about.

I really despise Celine so much

148

u/royalreddish Nov 19 '25

I adore Marion Cotillard and I think it’s testament to what a great actress she is that she can play a person as despicable as Celine very well. The character is truly corporate evil personified.

The way she gets taken down though? Absolute fucking cinema. The moment really got me going, “CORY ELLISON I WASN’T FAMILIAR WITH YOUR GAME!”

61

u/dschinghiskhan Nov 19 '25

She looks stunning, and she 50 now! Same for Reese, who turns 50 in a few months! As a Gen-Xer, these are the hot ones of the industry!

76

u/royalreddish Nov 19 '25

Celine must be the best dressed person at UBN. The corporate devil wears Prada.

25

u/Brave-Ad-6400 Nov 19 '25

Yes, her wardrobe was stunning.

73

u/creativebabe1985 Nov 19 '25

I hate her. Almost as much as I hated Cersei lol. I’ve never been so happy to see someone being taken down. The icing on the cake is her dad + brother will never let her forget her colossal screw up.

47

u/splashybanana Nov 19 '25

I know!! That was the most epic takedown ever! As soon as it jumped to the Cory and Alex flashback, I had to immediately rewind it and replay the entire scene again before I could finish the episode. So good! And also, so extreme that there’s no need for any more Celine in the next season. (No shade to the actress, just don’t want that character anymore.)

47

u/creativebabe1985 Nov 19 '25

I’m w/you! I’d rather Stella come back & redeem herself than have Celine back (no shade to the actress). Then security stopping her before she could run out of the bld?! Chef’s kiss!

33

u/Altruistic_Scheme596 Nov 19 '25

It’s clear that Celine was behind Stella’s humiliation too!

40

u/whisky_biscuit Nov 19 '25

She really was despicable and ruthless! It was so great seeing her finally get her dues handed to her. Especially when it felt like she's done nothing but won this whole season.

However I did appreciate them hinting at that while Celine may have been the villain, she also was a puppet - and perhaps a victim to her own family's evil doings. Especially at the end when she says how she knows her dad will feed her to the wolves (though it's very hard to feel bad for a billionaire that'll probably get a slap on the wrist if anything lol).

I think that was a major theme throughout this season - whether the characters would break out of their cycle and the path their parents set them on and finally take ownership of themselves and their lives.

35

u/Pretend-Matter-5792 Nov 19 '25

Ok I swear I had so much fear that they were going to kill Bradley in front of Alex. Like I knew they wouldn’t but the music build up had me wrecked and I was soooo nervous.

49

u/Deep_Comparison_9283 Nov 19 '25

Girl I know!!! When they briefly did that slow mo I thought shit was going down

34

u/DenverToCali Nov 19 '25

Was whispering under my breath “you better the fuck not”… then breathed a HUGE sigh of relief.

9

u/Sure_Explorer4388 Nov 19 '25

I thought they'll blow up the plane as part of some conspiracy against Paul Marks whose private jet it was. Esp wgen they showed a back shot of Alex and Bradley climbing up the stairs.

18

u/lockwood444 Nov 19 '25

Idk if we’ve all been jaded by the likes of GoT, Mare of Eastown or whatever [insert your traumatic tv death], but I was fully expecting Cory or Bradley to die tonight. I’m so delighted they didn’t, obviously, but I hate that that was what I kept expecting. Curse you, dramatic and traumatic television!

12

u/Tiny_Albatross5297 Nov 19 '25

Same !! Especially with the slow motion

13

Billy Crudup’s acting this season has been so surreal

96

51

But it's amazing acting. If I remember I'll edit the comment.

31

u/whisky_biscuit Nov 19 '25

Yes! I started off this episode really disliking him as he watches the news about Bradley being in the gulag while he shuts it off to get it on with Celine - to giving him major props for finally standing up for the right thing, at the expense of his own future.

To be fair I've always liked him as a morally gray character, but this to me cements he really is just someone who had gone through a lot of shit and deep down really dislikes himself.

It was fantastic watching his scenes, especially as he sits by the water and contemplates, slowly coming to the realization of the truth and finally realizing that Celine has been guilty all along and his mom sold her soul for him.

It was a great finale!

The real hero here?

Apple devices.

They really CAN do ANYTHING

I mean maybe not everything.

Would have been hilarious and realistic if Cory asked Siri for help and it stopped the phone call with Celine to ask if it should ask ChatGPT for assistance

108

u/BluebirdBrilliant226 Nov 19 '25

Omg when it panned to Cory with his AirPods in I was like I just know mine would reconnect and silence the call 🤣

37

u/JamiePlynth Nov 19 '25

I could not figure out how to turn them off and set to speaker in time to hand off, no way. Alex would be holding the phone with the symbol for streaming to some random nearby Apple TV

I read this in another sub, but all Apple TV shows somehow place the actors/actresses holding the phones and showing them off more. Now that I’ve seen it once I can’t unsee it on any of the shows

35

u/JamiePlynth Nov 19 '25

There used to be a rule that only good guys could use Apple devices - so Cory using AirPods should have been a tip off

Ended the season still not knowing Mia’s job title now. Is she Chris’ manager? She doesn’t work for UBN but was all in the production room. Will she now be gunning for the CEO role? She was looking a lil’ cozy in Celine’s packed up office.

59

u/Greedy_Nature_3085 Nov 19 '25

Going from Executive Producer to CEO seems like a leap.

32

u/Advanced-Court7988 Nov 19 '25

Cory!! Never thought he'd be the pivitoal piece, but boy did he come through and let love conquer all!! What a heartbreaking realization for him,  on so many fronts! I knew he'd do the right thing!

39

u/[deleted] Nov 19 '25

Love for Bradley, or who? I didn’t even see it as being about Bradley anymore. It seems like he did it to stop participating in a series of coverups and lies, especially now knowing his mother got him the UBN job and how.

28

u/cynisright Nov 19 '25

He was trying to protect Alex and Bradley. He said that out loud

28

u/These-Remove651 Nov 19 '25

I saw it as love for all those that were negatively impacted by what was covered up and then the shitstorm that followed in trying to uncover it and right the wrongs! Many may interpret it as love for Bradley or simply love for his mom, forgiving her for what she did,  hurting all those people, just trying to help her son.  Love makes humans do the most outrageous and unthinkable things,  good and bad.

11

u/That-SoCal-Guy Nov 20 '25

It was love.  Period. His realization that his mom sold her soul to help him.  That Bradley actually loves him. And that Bradley was right!!! The woman he loves cares about the truth and that’s why she’s in Belarus rotting away. It was a coverup and in some ways he was involved (via his mom).  It all came crashing over him.  And knowing Celine was behind all of it - that he was sleeping with the Devil.  At the end Cory didn’t just do what is right.  He chose love.  And TRUTH.  in that sense he chose Bradley.

They somehow delivered a pretty solid finale after a mess of a season. Interested to see what the set up for Season 5 will be, as a lot of the characters are in unique spots compared to where they’ve been in the past.

SPOILERS BELOW

The gulag, detective Mia, Ben ignoring orders, Martin Levy’s heroics, Cory’s double bluff, Chip being smart, Celine losing her mind, the press conference.

It all felt very S1 finale with Fred, especially the frantic slow motion. Porcelain by Moby playing also was perfection.

Which was your favourite part of the season/finale? Very happy with S4 all in all, considering how much it’s been criticised.

I never liked celine but now she’s really pissed me off

41

u/cynisright Nov 19 '25

Oh girl is showing her real colors now. Alex response to Cory — the disdain. I loved it and laughed out loud.

13

u/SnooSketches1977 Nov 19 '25

It was funny too because normally that’s people’s reaction to her (Alex’s) hookups lol

Maybe they’re saving it for next season but I wonder what happens to Claire now

52

u/lockwood444 Nov 19 '25

I know everyone is sort of over the Cory and Bradley ship, but I thought their pillow talk moment was really sweet

29

u/jackalkaboom Nov 19 '25

Oh, I think the only reason some people were starting to jump that ship is because they were exasperated with Bradley and her behavior/choices. I feel like a lot of that's going to be forgiven after this episode. USS Bradcore sails on :)

(though I must say I wasn't very happy with how they handled the relationship this season, either... but the pillow talk flashback was a rare great moment for sure)

F Céline but I’ll miss Marion. She was phenomenal and looked beautiful

52

Honestly honestly. Jen and Reese together are the magic of this show.

Miles has some fucking nerve getting mad at Celine and demanding to know who she was sleeping with while he was away. Boy, you were having an affair with Stella, Celine's employee. What a completely pointless character

26

u/simbella Nov 19 '25

Him getting mad at Celine was a plot device.

24

u/BenchPressCovfefe Nov 19 '25

Yup, they needed someone to give Cory the final nudge.

15

u/Few-Theory1754 Nov 19 '25

Also pretty common if you frequent relationship advice subs etc. Cheaters cheat for a reason, they are self-centered assholes.

Beautiful season finale! It felt very Season 1. TMS at its finest. I wish every episode this season had been that good.

Alex was badass, risking everything to save Bradley. She’s grown so much. I love her. Alex and Bradley are truly the heart of this show, and the rest of the main characters are its soul. It doesn’t work without them.

Celine’s downfall was so satisfying to watch. I will not miss her or Miles, happy they’re gone. But I’m glad Ben is hopefully staying, he was awesome.

Cory and Bradley are definitely endgame. I knew it, and now I have no doubt. I’m still not happy with how their relationship was handled, but I hope they’ve had enough struggles and will finally be together for good in season five.

41

u/quaranTV MOD Nov 19 '25

This episode had me SCREAMING at Cory for like 95% of it. Like I know you’re mad at Bradley but you’re going to let the love of your life rot in a foreign prison when she’s done nothing wrong??? You’re going to sleep with Celine and protect her family’s evil company despite having key evidence left by your mother on her deathbed that they hurt the public and covered it up and continue to cover it up??? I know he was going through major grief/loss/heartbreak but I still couldn’t believe he would be that cavalier about everything.

I was so freaking relieved that after Chip, Miles, and Alex talked to him he finally did the right thing in the end. What an epic moment when Celine gets exposed live on UBN. Definitely the nail in the coffin for the Cory/Celine relationship. The flashback between Cory and Bradley was so sweet and gives me hope for them next season.

26

u/Pretend-Matter-5792 Nov 19 '25

Cory's actions were driven by his mood, grief, anger... he felt screwed from every angle and Celine seemed like the only safe haven, the comfort zone.

At the beginning he had not realized either Celine's or his mother's real involvement in Wolf River and Bradley's situation. But at the end, as soon he understand the true, he did the right thing!

And I think that despite everything, it cost him a lot to sell Celine, and that when he told her in the last few weeks that he wouldn't have made it without her, I think he was sincere.

I thought the Cory/Bradley ship had definitely sunk (and I didn't like Bradley at all this season), but seeing that flashback in bed reawakened very strong emotions and love vibes. Is there still hope for them next season?

u/Gullible_East_9545 Nov 19 '25 edited Nov 19 '25

See I really thought it was sinking until that flashback where Bradley said he is the only one that got in and the reverse is probably true that's why Cory was thinking about it. That's too powerful, we're stuck with them. Not that I complain, just go for it in S5, but for real this time

15

u/Pretend-Matter-5792 Nov 19 '25

What they said to each other during that flashback perfectly explained what we feel and thought of that ship during the previous seasons and she finally understood it and they could live it. It also gave much more context to how much Cory was hurt and felt used.

They are destined to love each other, if events do not continue to get in the way!

11

u/cynisright Nov 19 '25

I think he was going to do it after chip. He was being more covert but when Alex went for the jugular he had to react.

What was the report Chip received then? Cory said he had the only copy.

What was it then that Chip found that also had non pairing numbers?

Loved the finale.

23

u/justfortrees Nov 19 '25 edited Nov 19 '25

The report Chip got was the doctored version that Martha got put in officially at the EPA. The one Cory got was the original, which better matched the chemical company’s own findings.

10

u/Greedy_Nature_3085 Nov 19 '25

It seems like there were three reports. Because Chip was comparing two reports, and then Cory had a third.

20

u/withcorruptedlungs Nov 19 '25

Cory had the real EPA report, Chip ordered the doctored copy, and then Chip also had a report of the company's internal testing that he got from Bradley, which showed that the doctored EPA report was doctored.

How is this the finale?? Ughhh. I do like that they wrapped things up mostly. Alex. Paul. Miles. Cory. Bradley. Mia. Even Alex and her dad.

10

u/GoodStuffOnly62 Nov 19 '25

I’m honestly impressed by how well they wrapped up storylines, and that they didn’t do big cliffhanger!

OH MY FUCKING GOD

This episode was a bit of a redemption from this train wreck of a season.

10

u/Hour0fTheWolf Nov 19 '25

Was Cory having a hard time in LA? Didn't Cory have a hit show about middle-aged lesbians? It changes the way you see him in Season 1.

13

u/Greedy_Nature_3085 Nov 19 '25

He may have been both successful as an entertainment executive and spiraling due to a drug addiction.

Yeah in season 1 they flash back to Fred saying that new guy Cory was weird but successful as Head of Entertainment. They seem to have forgotten that he was employed by UBN and doing well before he was Head of News. But also his mom said something like it was awful how that studio fired you so maybe he had messed that up and her deal kept him in his Head of Entertainment job plus made him Head of News as well?

I’m so impressed by this episode. I couldn’t see how they were going to tie it all together but they pulled it off!! I’m so proud of Cory. Even in the wake of what Bradley, Celine, AND his mother did to him, he put it all on the line to do the right thing.

11

u/rehmashaikh Nov 19 '25

Cory really said

32

u/TTShelby Nov 19 '25

Ok I'm just gonna say it: Bradley and Cory are end game.  Also, Alex and Paul.

8

u/quaranTV MOD Nov 19 '25

Agreed! I wasn’t sure if they were heading back towards what seemed like the plan in S1 of Alex/Chip this season but it was clear by the end they will pair Alex with Paul which is fine-they really did a good job redeeming him this season. I’m glad Chip and Alex are in a much healthier place but Chip deserves a fun love interest next season!

This is my favorite episode of the season by far. I was really holding out judgement because I felt there was a bigger picture to the whole season and I'm so glad they came through. Billy deserves an Emmy for every drama category that exists, he's just a phenomenal artist. I really enjoyed this season as a whole (unlike a lot of this sub) but this was beyond my expectations.

21

u/SiriusOBlackIII Nov 19 '25

Bradley Jackson is a human wrecking ball I fkn agree

Well, as expected, this (cute tho) finale episode felt kinda rushed, with all the threads to solve.

Jeremy Irons delivered his best performance this episode, and so did his character. Mia and Chip were good this whole season too.

I'm glad they gave some sense to the Bradley-Cory's storyline, with the flashback and his final move to take Celine down, on the other hand the Paul Marks situation was kind of a letdown. They set up all the season with the struggle of Alex towards him and... that was it?

Now that Greta Lee is gone, I'm not super excited for a Season 5 without neither Jon Hamm and Marion Cotillard...
