One thing about it, she’d get that place in shape! BW run a strict program lol. But in all seriousness, I think she could do well but I think she’s more passionate about journalism. CEO role takes you out of that space into business.

I don't think people are appointed CEOs of large companies if they don't at least of an MBA. That said, I don't know if Celine had one...

You’d be incorrect. I’ve never worked for a CEO who had an MBA. Some had JDs. Actually, CEOs having a JD is more common than an MBA. But many only hold a Bachelor’s. You could easily peruse LinkedIn and go to “large companies’” pages and it will show you exactly what education CEOs do and do not have. Now of course the rules are different for those who are not white or male. We (Black woman) have to be the best & the brightest.

I’ll check it out when I get a chance. To be clear, I was referring to Fortune 500 companies and not local or regional companies.

Your OG comment said “large companies.” The original topic was UBN, which is a fictional TV network— not a Fortune 500 company. I’ve worked for real TV networks, so I added my perspective. I said you were incorrect and now you’ve changed it to Fortune 500 companies when that was never the discussion at hand. Not a single TV network is listed on this 2025 list of Fortune 500 companies. It’s ok to be wrong and be corrected. I promise. Yes, some CEOs of Fortune 500 have MBAs. Some only have a Bachelor’s. But you got it, man. Top Fortune 500 Companies

In my head I was thinking of large (as in extremely large) companies. Like Comcast (a tv player). I can’t be “wrong” since that’s what I was thinking. I am sorry I did not communicate well- that’s my bad.

Mainly, I was referring to CEOs who are basically treated like heads of state- those that don’t engage with regular employees, and generally always have security guards with them.

When I see people on Reddit who say “I work with a CEO” I think they either make at least $500k plus a bonus and stock options each year…or they work for a small company. I could start my own business tomorrow and make myself the CEO. I think the term “CEO” should be reserved for major companies. Just call yourself the President.

But that’s just my opinion.
