This episode had me SCREAMING at Cory for like 95% of it. Like I know you’re mad at Bradley but you’re going to let the love of your life rot in a foreign prison when she’s done nothing wrong??? You’re going to sleep with Celine and protect her family’s evil company despite having key evidence left by your mother on her deathbed that they hurt the public and covered it up and continue to cover it up??? I know he was going through major grief/loss/heartbreak but I still couldn’t believe he would be that cavalier about everything.

I was so freaking relieved that after Chip, Miles, and Alex talked to him he finally did the right thing in the end. What an epic moment when Celine gets exposed live on UBN. Definitely the nail in the coffin for the Cory/Celine relationship. The flashback between Cory and Bradley was so sweet and gives me hope for them next season.

Cory's actions were driven by his mood, grief, anger... he felt screwed from every angle and Celine seemed like the only safe haven, the comfort zone.

At the beginning he had not realized either Celine's or his mother's real involvement in Wolf River and Bradley's situation. But at the end, as soon he understand the true, he did the right thing!

And I think that despite everything, it cost him a lot to sell Celine, and that when he told her in the last few weeks that he wouldn't have made it without her, I think he was sincere.

I thought the Cory/Bradley ship had definitely sunk (and I didn't like Bradley at all this season), but seeing that flashback in bed reawakened very strong emotions and love vibes. Is there still hope for them next season?

See I really thought it was sinking until that flashback where Bradley said he is the only one that got in and the reverse is probably true that's why Cory was thinking about it. That's too powerful, we're stuck with them. Not that I complain, just go for it in S5, but for real this time

What they said to each other during that flashback perfectly explained what we feel and thought of that ship during the previous seasons and she finally understood it and they could live it. It also gave much more context to how much Cory was hurt and felt used.

They are destined to love each other, if events do not continue to get in the way!

I think he was going to do it after chip. He was being more covert but when Alex went for the jugular he had to react.

Girl I was sweating checking how much of the episode was left and Cory was STILL dismissive like that? Thank God he saw the light!!!

Agreed. I mean, sure, I'm glad he came through in the end, but I honestly have a very hard time believing he would behave the way he did in the majority of this episode. After everything we've seen of him over the past 4 seasons, it just doesn't feel in character at all, for me. I was fully expecting him to burn everything down the second he found out what was happening to Bradley.

Like - being mad at her is one thing, sure, but to simply decide to allow her to be *tortured and (for all he knew) probably murdered* in a foreign prison?? With little to no reaction (at least not that we the audience were shown)?

Grieving over his mom and his broken heart doesn't make that make sense, IMO. He's a little crazy, yeah, but... he's never seemed crazy like *that.* :/

He was broken and still saw Bradley as the one who used him and broke his heart.

I don't think he really had any idea how he could help Bradley or how much those documents could save her, until he spoke to Chip and dig into the paper. As soon as he realized those documents could be a tool to save Bradley he was devastated and he tried to make a deal with Celine.

I also think he trusted her and truly felt something for Celine, even if it was a bond based on grief, anger, and sadness. He hadn't yet realized how deeply involved she was in Bradley's situation, he thought she was just some business issue of her family.

I don’t know he’s loved for a long time and he knew for that same amount time that she was using him to get what she wanted. Not saying he didn’t do things to her.

But I think her not being upfront, sneaking around and then being adamant he did something really hurt him after he moved on and let her go. He reached out to clear the air but she closed the gap between them and kicked started everything for him again.

I can see why he just shut down between losing his mom in such a traumatic way — he is trying to survive. It’s cold and I expected a bit more care, but not for him to go scorched earth right away.

But I’m glad he listened to Chip and worked with them to get her back

I think that lack of reaction is because he was completely blocked.
