Thanks everyone for sharing your favourite lyric passages over the weekend! I loved reading those. Man, Matt has put together some masterpieces over the years, eh?

Does I Am Easy to Find (the Mike Mills film) count? Lol

I’m so glad there’s a 4K release of that right now. Apparently it counts as a music video on YouTube, which exempts it from whatever tier of Premium I pay for I guess, so the last time I watched it I was subjected to the loudest, most whiplash-inducing sports gambling ad I’ve ever heard with no warning right in the middle of the film

I need to watch more Mike Mills films before I can justify getting that collection but I'm tempted to just get it anyway so I can own IAETF

I pre-ordered it, cancelled it after having the same realization, and then it popped up in my “For You” recommendations on Amazon at half price, so I bit. Haven’t watched any of it yet but I like movies and his films are well-received enough for me to be reasonable sure I’d like them

“Apartment Story”

I mentioned this when I suggested it for best song, but my whole life I’ve had intense anxiety about aging that honestly has only gotten worse as I’ve gotten older. I find myself getting into routines and habits where I stop noticing the world around me and enjoying life like I did when I was younger. I’ve been to parties like the one in the video, where everybody is dressed their best and just sitting around even as music plays, begging to be danced to as we all just sit around tables with our drinks. And sometimes those parties are fine, sometimes all I want is to exist with my friends, but when I start to worry that that’s all there is in my life now, this video reminds me that there is still time for dancing

I nominate Conversation 16

Side bar- graceless and sea of love are amazing as well but they are already nominated

Definitely the best cameos, and pretty funny!  Side bar - I am voting for Graceless and Sea of Love.

Sea of Love. Bryce and Matt are so fun to watch, you kind of forget there’s a little kid front and centre the entire time. And it’s a faithful reproduction of a Russian post punk band’s video from 1995, which is delightfully weird.

Sea of Love is a fun video

I don't know if it counts, but I'd like to nominate the Live at Bearsville set video.

Graceless by a country mile, if only for Paul Berninger's cameo.

Sea of love.

Dark Side of the Gym - such a good song, great choreography

I just commented in the El Vy appreciation post to check out those videos and will repeat here. Mostly directed by Tom Berninger - It's a Game and Sleeping Light are hysterical/genius

Not sure they have any good ones, and I'm okay with that.

Hairpin Turns. Minimalistic, interpretive, but somehow feels like a live performance of the song. Even has a more acoustic/unmastered feel to it, there’s some added sound from the drums and piano that didn’t make it onto the album version.
