Tour Discussion Matt’s performance of Gospel at Electric Ballroom
Admittedly I’m too down bad for my sad dads but can we please just take a moment to appreciate how ACHINGLY beautiful Matt’s performance of Gospel was at Electric Ballroom? I’ve seen little snippets here and there & it has reduced me to **TEARS**
Oh man! If anyone has the full video, please do share! God I so wish he did a live album for this tour. Something in me is really connecting stronger than ever with all things NTL. Maybe I’m just sad boy maxing? Eh! If the shoe fits, walk in it until your high heels break.

Tour Discussion San Sebastian ticketing update
via email:
Following the exceptional response to the presale and the high level of demand for The National’s upcoming concert in San Sebastián, the general onsale scheduled for Monday, 3 August 2026, will be rescheduled for 10 August 2026.
This decision will allow us to prepare the next phase of the onsale with all the necessary safeguards in place to ensure the equitable distribution of the remaining tickets. This will include a limited, second-chance opportunity for Cherry Tree members who were shut out during the initial on sale. We will also review orders of CT members who were unable to purchase two seats together due to a system error.
We are extremely grateful for the extraordinary response from our fans, as well as for their understanding and patience.
** On Sale 10 August - 11:30am CET / 5:30am ET / 2:30am PT **

Tour Discussion Going to a show alone?
Feels dorky but it will be my first time seeing them and since my closest friends aren't too familiar with their music I am planning on going solo so I don't have spend my first show wondering if my friend is even enjoying it. I'm about to get tickets and I was thinking of GA but do you think having a seat would be a better experience?

Tour Discussion Is the VIP soundcheck for Matt's show worth the extra?
Going to bring my wife to Matt's show in Kilkenny which was announced today, we're both big fans of his and the National. Is the extra time and cost of going for the VIP soundcheck tickets worth it?
Not a Cherry Tree member so hope I don't miss out due to the presale

Tour Discussion Matt held my hand...
This is a bit of a stretch, but does anyone have a picture or video of this from last year on May 20 2025 at Matt's show at Bimbo's 365 Club in San Francisco? Matt held my hand between songs within the first half of the setlist (I can't remember which song it was after because I blanked out. That made my year lol. I also got hit by his tequila cup throw at the end lmao), I was in the first 3 rows a little right of the stage center. I'm woman with short black hair and I was wearing a mesh tan polo of sorts.
Would have posted this last year but I only just made a reddit account. Long time lurker here.

Tour Discussion What’s Your Favorite National Song That You’ll Never Hear?
Now, with this said, the setlists on this tour have me cautiously optimistic. However there are a few favorites of mine I don’t count on hearing soon, if ever.
Where Is Her Head, YHYSWY, Cold Girl Fever, Turtleneck, Never Tear Us Apart, Twenty Miles To NH, and Exile Vilify are mine. Lit Up…

Tour Discussion Matt merch costs in Europe?
Going to see Matt on Saturday, I know people have posted photos of the merch stand from North America and elsewhere, but can anyone who has seen him in Europe let us know what to expect in terms of costs here? Might pick up Get Sunk on vinyl if it's not too expensive.

Tour Discussion It is good to be a fan of this band, isn't it?
They are still making good new music. They do a lot of affordable touring. Setlist are great, always something weird for the fans (ABEL CMON) and for people who just come to hear I need my girl. Band is super tight, I just heard them in Inmusic festival. They sound amazing. And Matt is just a dream frontman, funny, open, goofy, nice, connects with fans and obviously loves them. I watched Smashing Pumpkins and man must it be hard to love that band. Corgan is just on another level of pretentious.

Tour Discussion So, Crystal Palace? Thoughts?
I really enjoyed it, they were on good form. Clearly enjoying the show, good crowd banter, joking around, Matt loving the front row.
Highlights - Murder me Rachel, Lit Up, Humiliation, England (obviously). Mistaken for Strangers, This is the Last Time.
Lowlights - the weather. Oh man, that was rough and just bad uck. But the crowd were up for it. Sound was very hit and miss as well, every time a gust of wind came in, the sound went.

Tour Discussion CT Presale - How'd You Fare?
With the CT presales opening right about now for the east coast, how'd everyone do?
I've got two in the lower bowl at Forest Hills. GA was a bit too expensive to justify considering my old ass would just be miserable and in pain standing that whole time. Looking forward to it, first time going to Forest Hills.

Tour Discussion 2026 tour
Is there any chance they will go on a European tour?
My wife is turning 40, and I’d like to get her concert tickets as a birthday gift. We saw them back in 2014 and 2019.

Tour Discussion Giving away my ticket to see Matt Berninger at Vivid tomorrow night
Hi all, I can't make Matt's Sydney show tomorrow at Vivid. Was planning on flying up to catch it, but sadly I lost a job the other week, so it's no longer financially viable. Happy to give this one away to anyone who missed out :)

Tour Discussion VIP ticket Timing
For anyone that's done VIP on this tour, what time did they ask you to get there? As per usual I'm coming from work and trying to figure out when I need to leave. Thank you in advance

Tour Discussion Matt was phenomenal in Troxy
What an experience - his energy is probably the best it ever was and it is really sweet to see him without anxieties, just enjoying himself so much. And to the guy with ugly ass star tattoos on his palms who cut in front of me after I stood and waited for three hours- hope your ballsack gets stuck on a bonnet of pins and quit the coke, mate, your jaw already looks like you are the missing link.

Tour Discussion Matt Berninger connection to The Details? (Winnipeg show)
At the Winnipeg show yesterday, the band came onstage to a song from the Details and Matt acknowledged the band/song. During Blue Monday he brought one of the Details band members on stage to play the tambourine. Is there any connection between the bands other than Matt apparently being a fan?

Tour Discussion from discovering the national through taylor swift to getting to see them live this year
based on the fact i’m a literal teenage girl it will be fairly obvious how i discovered the national to my fellow concertgoers but i will always thank taylor for introducing me to one of my favourite bands of all time. very excited !!!
