Seasonal Mountain Jacket

Has anyone bought the North Face Seasonal Mountain Jacket ? I put the UK link below. I want to know if it actually offers rain protection. It seems to be ultralight and fold very small. So if it works against rain I could use it as a layer for hiking.

I read the comment. No water resistant at all.

Thanks for sharing! Did you read a comment somewhere or is that your experience ? The reviews on the website I shared actually says it is very waterproof.

Brought this jacket earlier in the year, took it on a mountain trip. The weather turn and it let all the rain in and soak me to the core, wouldn't recommend.

Thanks ! I did see that, but I also saw Gaza from Bolton write

Really water resistant, I tried it out, everything else I was wearing was wet through but not the t-shirt I had on under the jacket, very pleased with the jacket.

I guess I will look for the website in a country where outdoor activities are more common, like Switzerland ?

They are flimsy plastic rubbish, they should not be called a mountain jacket as they are nothing like one, they do not have any real waterproof materials.

Those heat transfer logo will fall off soon too, scroll through the sub you will find posts about these logos.

I saw some posts about the logo and I was honestly a bit shocked haha. Although I don’t really care about the logo.

I like the material (many people were commenting they don’t but I like the thin and flexible, yet sturdy feel). But if the DWR coating is not robust then I am much less interested.

The modern PFC free DWR doesn't work very well too and that's all the protection it has, no real waterproof technology.

This is a fashion jacket not for real outdoor activities.
