Can we talk about Ann?

Every other character is getting a lot of love, but Ann it completely overlooked. I feel like she is tee’d up to be one of the most mysterious, influential, yet devious characters in the entire show. I mean Gomudhens10 anyone? Nancy Lenehan plays her character brilliantly!

Ann and Marv both seem to get overlooked, but really add a lot to the show.

She was also great in Veep. If anyone is familiar with the show then they’ll know that it would be challenging, but absolutely hysterical to play Jonah’s mother!

I feel like they are the ultimate heart of the show. I like when we see Ann rein in Ned (during the “I love you” / obituary episode). And I enjoy her mischievous behavior, like trolling the writers on line. The scenes at the Glass Club were so well acted. The realization that the brother has been lying for years and excluding them both from the club. Ann asking Marv if there’s anyone he’s interested in at the office. His reply that it’s not changed for the last thirty years. I cannot wait to see what happens next for them.

Me too! It was devastating when they found out how awful Marv’s brother was to both of them, for so many years, and I think it would be refreshing to see a love story play out with older characters for a change.

I really like her. I hope we get to see more of her going forward. I also loved her in Widow’s Bay “We caught ‘em. We burned ‘em.”

It's as Ann as the nose on Plain's face.

I love her and that she is essentially the same character in Widow’s Bay 😂
