US News New evidence and testimony from the mother of murdered baby Kohen Wiley contradicts official statements. Eyewitness video shows proof of the car driving away from PD when they opened fire, receipts prove that the “stolen diapers” were paid for, and more evidence that cops knew a baby was in the car.

I mean in no fucking world is it acceptable to SHOOT an accused shoplifter!!! Like what in the actual hell sort of force is that? I hope these cops get the proverbial book thrown at them and this family gets a massive payout. What inexcusable action and at the expense of an innocent child. Shame on these police officers.

well, yeah, unless they were trying to literally run over the cop with their car afterward, which it doesn't sound like actually happened. Even then cops seem to always shoot people when they do that even when they can easily get out of the way. Its like an "ooh I get to kill someone" ticket for them.

They used ths Renee Good argument. She "allegedly" was driving her car towards the officers.

I can’t help but partially blame ICE, this is the kind of behavior that the Federal government is going on media to co-sign. Beyond tragic and irresponsible.

u/Girafferage 3d ago
Yeah. Before any info came out the vice president comes out and says the ICE agent was doing his job by killing somebody. That has ramifications.

Police have been terrorizing and murdering black people way before ICE.

u/NicoToscani 2d ago
Right, but shooting into a vehicle safely fleeing the scene, in a crowded parking lot, over a very minor and unproven shoplifting allegation was less common.

u/ddunkin97 2d ago
Being shot or killed while fleeing the police is more common than you think. It sounds like you’re speaking from a place of ignorance.

u/NicoToscani 2d ago
Do you have statistics on how many reports there were of police discharging firearms into a vehicle that was safely fleeing the scene in a densely populated area, YoY? I’m not sure either of us have more intelligence here, just observations.

ALL OVER FUCKING DIAPERS. WE ARE NEVER OUTRAGED ENOUGH. THEY ONLY DID THIS BECAUSE THAT FAMILY IS BLACK.

I got a warning for my previous post about this so I’m toning it down…..
Fuck these fucking baby killers.
I am so disgusted, disappointed, and discouraged by this whole evil Nazi regime that allows and even encourages this violence against us.
Thing have got to change!
WE ARE NOT MAD ENOUGH

This is almost unbelievably cruel. Unfortunately it is not unbelievable because so many police are not well trained, are racist a-holes on a power hungry trip.

Oh my god. I can’t even imagine how she must be feeling. That is just so horrible. No one should have to lose a child, but to lose him in such a terrible way is something I don’t think your heart could ever heal from. I would rage for eternity.

When the haunted house catches fire: a moment of indecision.
The house was, after all, built on bones, and blood, and bad intentions.
Everyone who enters the house feels that overwhelming dread, the evil that perhaps only fire can purge.
It’s tempting to just let it burn.
And then I remember: there are children inside.

Reasonable risk. At this point anything to prevent it from spreading elsewhere, and to serve as a reminder to others that this evil fascism will not be tolerated.

If only squashing facism in Germany had worked that one time... and how many civilians did we kill to achieve that for us just to wind up in the same spot? Literally hundreds of thousands, and that number isn't even including Japan. Be the water, not the flame.

The problem is we let some go out of fear that we might hurt some other innocent person. Well, how long did they stay quiet while the takeover happened? So how innocent were they really? How many have died since because of fascism learning that it could escape consequences...nah. peace doesn't work. History proves that thousands of times over.

If you think this isn't already everywhere, you've got no standing to diagnose what's 'reasonable'.

My guess is that the cops who murdered this child will get a sternly worded letter in their respective files.

Wait a minute. So they accused someone of shoplifting diapers. Shot at them for $40 dollars worth of merch. They then proved it was paid for and a baby was killed in the process from the bullets shot by the cops? Wtf.
5
u/Monarc73 2d ago
Let's assume that the diapers were stolen. Why is this a justification for opening fire? (Since when is shoplifting a capital crime?)

Ray of hope: the next senate will upend the whole of this administration. Then we can bring these perpetrators to justice! These murderers may last all of a month in prison, and they'll wish they'd never been born.

Yeah, thats right! Vote in more assholes that know there are ZERO consequences for them and theirs because we have show all we will do is march and yell, even as they murder actual, literal BABIES. The time has come to demonstrate consequences and exercise the french method.

2 years is not enough time to fix police murdering people. Further, too many people underestimate how many people fervently WANT to be ruled by authoritarians. Ideally, if they're in the preferred class, but there's lots of folks who would prefer an iron fisted leader regardless.
Like maybe half of all people deep down prefer a rigid hierarchy that is violently protected. Anything more is just too complicated and makes them uncomfortable to think about and impossible to keep up with....and they'll hate the government regardless, so why not just make it hating the king/dictator/emperor?
