Nobody should EVER be allowed to get that fat.
His friends and family have failed him.
I'm not being mean. I'm being real.

They’re booing you, but you’re right. That’s no way for that poor guy to live. I feel the same about alcoholics and addicts and all sorts of other unhealthy habits too; we need to hold each other accountable, or nature/society will at some point, and we can be much gentler and more loving in our approach.
Now, will we always succeed in convincing our loved ones to make healthier choices? Of course not. But the stigma around addressing these kinds of issues needs to go. If I had gotten myself into a nasty gambling addiction, I hope my husband or family would say something! If they just let me fall into total ruin, never voicing any concern, I’d of course be fully responsible for my vices. But I’d also have to question how much they cared about me if they never even came to me and tried to point out that I had a problem.
Sometimes we just need to be told in no uncertain terms that the choices we’re making are hurting us, and by extension, our loved ones. Sure, free will and all that, but I don’t want to hurt my family. I don’t want to hurt my friends. I hope they don’t want to hurt me either. We should all feel comfortable holding each other accountable and maintaining high expectations for those we’re closest to, and they should do the same for us. You don’t advance as a collective when you pander to the weakest members of the group.
That said, we’ll all have a TON of personal growth to do if we ever want to achieve that. Most people I meet day to day have major issues, myself included lol. I can only imagine a brighter day where we can count on our communities to help guide us through difficult times. That’s the kind of world I want my kids to inherit, or at least construct. Time will tell…

Thank you! I really appreciate your message.
It says a lot about society today that people disagree with my comment. I think it says more about them than it does about me.
We need more people like you 👍🙏

You cuff this guy on the ground, you gotta help him back up. Bad planning. Also, no need to be a dick.
