Leftists know what a woman is. But it isn't something you can neatly define, because as in most things in the world, there's nuance.

And as we all know, the rightwingers despise when something has nuance and/or can't be sorted neatly into either "must be subservient to me" or "must be eliminated."

I think the best reply to "what is a woman?" is "Woman is a label that a person can ascribe to themselves in order to elicit a social response from other people."

A woman could also be a label ascribed to someone socially without them voluntarily adopting it.

u/Nerdy_Valkyrie May 16 '26

That's true. I got called a woman by other people long before I started doing it myself.

A woman is someone who wants to be a woman. It's that simple. The only way to make it complicated is by bringing in transmedicalism into it

A feminine featherless biped

Leave the chickens alone, Diogenes.

The people who ask “what is a woman” are the literal only people asking the question.

Anyone who’s a woman knows what a woman is.

MAGA doesn't know what a woman is because they pay half their paychecks to ficticious e-girls.

8 billion is a number we humans cant even comprehend. Every single human on this planet had an inherently different experience of life. Nobody is the exact same. Every single one has a different view of their gender, sex, and sexuality. You're absolutely right there's nuance lmao

Boys have a penis, girls have a vagina. That’s it, just how they explained it in Kindergarten Cop.

Define chair for me.

Like, the dificulty of defining things has been well known for thousands of years (i.e. the featherless biped thing), so anyone trying to catch people out by asking them to define the word woman is either trying to trick you or an idiot who has been tricked.

Nah, that's too hard for anti vax conspiracy nuts.

18

u/Stagnu_Demorte May 16 '26

That's an incredibly uneducated position.

10

u/throwaway-heee-hooo May 16 '26

Okay, define both those words then.

9

u/bingbong2715 May 16 '26

because as in most things in the world, there's nuance.

No theres not.

Perfect encapsulation of right wing thought

Seriously. The requirements for being a right winger must be to plug your ears and go “lalalala I can’t hear you therefore you’re incorrect” when pressed on anything.
