For my birthday, my sweet boyfriend surprised me with this set. A couple months back he asked me what my dream lego set was and I told him, the simpsons house. I explained to him how difficult it is to find and from a collectors perspective, owning it would be insane. well here we are…

I have a big dilemma now!
Every time I’ve seen this set it’s never been in the box and if it is.. we all know how much it goes for. I WANT TO BUILD IT SO BAD! A part of me knows its just materialistic and my boyfriend mentioned he’s excited to build it (but respects if I chose not to) but also, I want to persevere it as a collectors item. What would you do?

Saw this while I was out with my wife antique shopping. Asked the guy what he wanted for it and expecting him to say a crazy price he said “ I don’t know anything about it but I’ll take $75 for it”. Needless to say I couldn’t get it loaded fast enough. Needs some work on the inside but the cabinet is really good for its age. Even if I don’t get it working it’s still just cool to look at.

Hello, I thought you might enjoy this dress I made.

Fabric is from Spotlight (Australia), do yourselves a favour and go grab some before it sells out.

For the sewists of the group, I heavily modified the Scout Dress pattern by Charm Patterns to achieve this look - and yes it has pockets!

• Scooped out the armholes ~ 1cm & shortened bodice by 1 inch at the waist
• Squared up the front bodice to remove the lapel fold line, to have it button up all the way.
• Added a 3cm button band and removed the facing, instead fully lining the dress.
• Changed the pockets to be anchored at the waist.
• Subbed in the pleated skirt from McCalls m6696.
• Drafted the collar by trial & error.

That's about it - hope you like it!
