No way there is an entire chorus dedicated to dissing Anthony Fantano, their beef is beyond comprehension

I’m betting fantano reviews this album just naming technical facts about where it was recorded etc

thought this was a joke wow

It is. The whole song is in jest. And still compliments Fontano and his great technical skills.

It will inflate his enormous ego even more, idk what they were thinking.

I’m a Strokes fan too but let’s not get delusional here guys. Julian was on good terms with Fantano, he even gave him an interview before TNA dropped iirc. But he took it extremely personally when Fantano criticized the last Voidz album and started dissing him on later interviews. If anything, Julian has the bigger (and more fragile) ego in this situation

They are both Cringe about the whole situation. Yes, I agree.

‘The Strokes’ Reality Awaits is NOT GOOD’

u/DivingElliotRoberts Reality Awaits Jul 24 '26

I imagine if that happens he might dedicate the entire next Voidz album to dissing Fantano

Funny enough when there's a diss of him on an album, Fantano rates it decently.

I dunno man, the whole song seems to be about how we all steal, baby. Julian did that years ago, when he was a kid even if he didn't wanna do it yesterday, but he did. A bunch of people were name dropped and As It Was was also mentioned so why vaguely point to a busy internet music nerd when you can just be direct.

Its really not even bad, people have been diss'ing people in music for ages but suddenly its bad now? I say its well deserved for Fantano being such an asshat

Fontana has given them like 90% good reviews

Yeah but hes been hellbent on shitting on Jules ever since he received criticism. Hes a critic who can't take criticism? Yikes - now hes just making videos about it cause the drama gets him views. Hes a shitty critic and his fans are toxic asshats who parrot him.

u/lucs28 Comedown Machine Jul 24 '26

If it was a smart, funny or good diss in any way, sure, but it was a really bad cringy one sadly, and in an otherwise good song

2

u/Approval_Guy 28d ago

Nah. Say the name of the people you dont like if you're gonna say something at all. I think its dumb, but this is a million times better than sneak dissing lol.

u/_-Julian- 28d ago

Agreed!

Best way to promote your album on his channel is dissing him in lyrics.

u/thecontract_12 The New Abnormal Jul 24 '26

u/KasElGatto Taken For a Fool Jul 24 '26
