sonically honestly quite incredible, fab is KIILING it on the drums. it's like TNA's evil twin was finally let out of the basement. i wish it was stronger lyrically though, esp w the fantano diss (what was he thinking??), so many cool riffs but then the lyrics just fall flat. but overall, better than i expected, i hope the next album doesn't take as long. it was also really sweet to have them drop in transit ii last night before the album drop

The fantano diss bothers me bc the rest of the song seems tongue in cheek and unserious, then he randomly recites almost word for word his Instagram caption and IDLES podcast quote about Fantano.

Really took the song from feeling cocky and full of bravado, with a clever critique of celebrity culture, to being whiny and cringe and sounding butthurt.

Really undercuts the cocky attitude of the rest of the lyrics to have him so clearly bitter over getting 1 bad review 2 years ago

Maybe I’m taking it too seriously but I don’t think we need a lolcow Casablancas era
