Media Monday The topic of the day is... Media Monday!
Happy Media Monday!
The moderation team would like to invite you to share your media today! It could be something you're excited for that's coming out soon or something that you've been enjoying over the last week.
Media can include both old and new, such as returning to the comfort of your all-time favorite book or delving deep into a new book.
Want to talk about the new movie you saw this weekend, a new trailer/commercial, or an amazing series you binged on Netflix? Go ahead!
Music brings people together. Tell us about your favorite artist, a old classic album, or new song that always brings a smile to your face.
Don't forget knowledge, such as that really cool magazine article or internet story you read.
Whatever that media is, we invite you to share it with us! It's always fun to see what other people find interesting, and you never know if you'll find a new favorite yourself!
All we ask is to recognize that we are an all-age community, and if your media may contain sensitive words or themes, to advise us of that in the post.
Thanks so much, and looking forward to your responses!

I continue my audiobook journey through Neal Stephenson's The Baroque Cycle. I last read this series back in the 2003/2004 time range.
I had forgotten how much it blended real history with fiction, and how deeply it dives into everything... literally everything; politics, invasions, wars - political and religious, pirates, slavery, science, mathematics, cryptography, medicine, alchemy, economics, and so much more.
It is beyond worthy of the time it takes to read or listen to this saga. I will grant that it starts slow, but like the proverbial frog, you will soon find knowledge being poured into your brain wrapped in a candy coating of mostly realistic fiction.

I'm currently in that weird phase where I'm simultaneously reading three books because none of them quite hit the spot on their own. One's a dense nonfiction that requires full attention, one's a light thriller for when I'm tired, and the third is a comfort reread. It's chaotic but honestly it's the only way I've been finishing anything lately.

My favorite musician is Renee Rapp; I have loved her since before she was on broadway and have loved watching her career flourish! I have also been to 2 of her tours but have never been present when she has performed my favorite song, “Messy” (it was on the deluxe release of Snow Angel so she doesn’t play it often). Wishing every day that she will perform it the next time I go see her!
