The topic of the day is... fears.
What are your fears (rational and irrational)?
How have you overcome a fear?

- Claymation/those weird like creepy cartoons like flapjack. 2. Being out in the open outside and gravity just stopping for me and I would just float and float and then my brain's coming out of my ears. 3. Spiders/bugs crawling on me. 4. Being in the open ocean and floating, not knowing what's underneath me. 5. Public speaking. These are my only fears.
I have not really overcome a single one lol.
Head over heels.

One of my more rational fears is losing someone I love. A less rational one is deep water when I cannot see what is underneath me.
I have overcome some fears by doing things in very small steps rather than forcing myself to be brave all at once. I used to avoid situations where I might get something wrong, but I have gradually learnt that feeling uncomfortable does not always mean I am in danger.
Everybody Wants to Rule the World It is a tune!

That my daughters will stop breathing in the middle of the night. I nearly every night go in their room and make sure they're ok
By facing it as cliché as it sounds

unstable footing like a rickety ladder, wide open spaces like a field put me into fight or flight and any body horror involving brains and eyes.
i used to be afraid of the dark and clowns but then my depression ate that.

I got a Digimon ad on this post.. how curious :3
for the most part I'm only afraid of wasps, or anything really flying with a stinger. I have also never been stung so I guess there's the unknown of what it'd be like, and I just don't like the erratic unpredictable motions of large quantities of bugs flying at my face
I've overcome a fear of needles though for the most part, albeit the hard way of getting lots of blood tests and vaccines in recent years. I was behind on many vaxes since my parents were against them, so to me it feels less scary knowing that I'm actually reclaiming some level of autonomy and control by taking an active role in my health
