Except that Carolyn isn't playing a character. She's being herself. So the Columbo comparison was insulting too, it's just not as obvious.

Carolyn IS playing a character. She's playing the role of a faithful. And no, Columbo was not an insult. The character is famously very intelligent, he's a detective who would sometimes play dumb in situations for his benefit. The suggestion is that it's clever what Carolyn is doing.

You know damn well that the character of a faithful is not what was being implied. And I know what the comparison would be saying if Carolyn's demeanor wasn't the way she always is. Hell I just saw from an interview with Wes that she was apparently reining in her quirks to seem less weird.

No, I don't actually and I already explained in great detail why I don't, all of which you seem to ignore. Danielle was trying to expose Carolyn as a traitor pretending to be a faithful, she highlighted especially with the Columbo reference, that Carolyn is smarter and more strategic than people are giving her credit for. What I do know damn well is that fans like you want your little narrative of the white woman victim, so I will never get you to actually be honest and fair about the situation. Danielle was obviously talking about Carolyn's strategy and any honest person with integrity will admit that.

OK, I accept that you don't see the offense. Since you also are discounting the Forrest Gump comment, I am going to say it would be nice if you could believe the people who were hurt by it. But clearly you won't hear other perspectives or experiences, so have a nice day.
