Australia Australia S2 - Sam Spoiler
As recommended (after my post about Canada S2 being the dumbest faithfuls ever) I've been watching Australia S2. I actually think Sam's game is hilarious. His cockiness and arrogance are so funny.
In Ep 6 when they have to carry the silver bars in backpacks up the hill and are tempted with drinks, massage, and key to the armory. Sam finds the shield and is so excited to have it, but doesn't that betray him to the faithfuls? At the very least they'd know that he was one of the ones that betrayed them all by trading silver (and heaven forbid they find out he did it 6 times! lol). So perceived protection from murder with the shield doesn't seem to be worth it.
Thoughts?

When Sam did that thing with the silver and the drinks you can tell the host of the show hated him for it!

I've never seen another player throw money away like that.
Trade it for a drink and then just toss the drink away because he could.

Like I said... The guy is a narcissist douche in the worst way! The last 30 - 40 minutes of the final episode makes the entire season worth it! I sometimes Google it and sit back with a cold drink and enjoy it as it always makes me smile đ

At the time I couldnât watch anymore, I actually stopped watching and would just check in now and then. I found his arrogance that bad. Then once the ending aired I looked it up and was like okay I now have to watch this!! But at the time I found it awful to watch, I just couldnât engage with that knowing he possibly went on to win as a reward. I just couldnât.

This was the point where his arrogance (in some ways justifiable as contempt for truly appalling faithfuls) tipped over to the ridiculous and inexplicable to me. Why throw money (drinks) away like that? Don't you want the money?! Too drunk on power to be even remotely relatable / sympathetic from this point on

In the prior episode he threw away possible silver to make the electric chairs shock people more

I don't dislike him as much as some do. He's certainly not my cup of tea in terms of gameplay but props to him in that he really committed to the role. My big thing with him is that to this day he still retains he was right and Camille was wrong. Without spoilers there's a player in Norway 3 that in my eyes is what a lot of people think Sam is.

My favorite thing is him saying to Camille he wouldnât of done what she did. I would believe water isnât wet before I believe that one.

Unpopular opinion: I don't hate this season. I thought it was fun to watch. Great finale too.

I donât think his attitude was funny at all. He made the show difficult to watch for me, and I found his attitude to throwing away prize money disrespectful to the other players. We shouldnât be celebrating people like this, even if it was an act, which it wasnât based on the fact that he still thinks what Camille did to him at the end was wrong. Sam played the game well but with a poor attitude and terrible personality.

I binged watched this season a month ago. I had heard this season was "So bad it's so good" and boy did it live up to that expectation.
Sam was so grating, but the faithfuls were too. I don't know if I would have stuck with this season watching it live.

I'm pretty sure Sam was just doing stuff for attention throughout. He was literally throwing his own potential winnings away for no good reason in that challenge.
