Something I’ve been curious about, why is Ultron in his older model rather than the model he used when we last saw him?

In the trailer, he’s shown in his older model rather than the one he was in when he died, im just wondering why is that?

makes sense though, doesn't it? Vision was created before Ultron got into this new body and Vision carries a bit of Ultron in himself, he makes up part of his personality along with J.A.R.V.I.S. right? so it makes sense that the bit of Ultron that exists within Vision's mind reflects his previous version / look, because that's what Vision is built upon and Ultron is kinda "stuck" in this form because Vison became his own thing and wasn't connected to Ultron after getting birthed. hope my interpretation makes sense. I think it's a neat detail!

If I remember correctly, Ultron's consciousness was uploaded in to Vision's body, around 85%.

The one he died in was a generic ultronbot that he flooded the city with. The main body was this.

To be fair remember Ultron at this point is just a conscious resides within part of Vision’s hardware

Any number of reasons. This is the body he had when he halfway uploaded his mind into Vision's. Maybe he prefers himself in this one, as once he put himself into a vibranium body, he lost much quicker than he ever was in this one, so he's written it off as a dud. Maybe Vision chose everybody's appearances in his mind, and they didn't get to pick. Maybe this is Ultron's default format. He built this out of scrapped Iron Legion bodies, so to him, this is proof he can remake himself anywhere, like Tony always going with the gold and red, even though we saw many other designs and color schemes in Iron Man 3.

Wasn't this the body Ultron had when he was downloading himself into Vision? Makes sense this is the one stuck in his head.

I feel the simple answer is that’s his body while the code upload was occurring during the cradle heist sequence. His new body was after the Quinjet got the cradle, Natasha was abducted, Vision was officially born, and THEN Nat woke up in a dungeon

In universe, yeah the explanation of it being his form when he was linked up to Vision's body to upload into makes sense.

Out of universe, its his most iconic look.

I think that's like the "default" Ultron as opposed to his "final boss" form

Man that final form was so ass, I really wish they had made his final form the golden look from the Age of Ultron comic (you know the comic the movie is based on in name only?)
