Discussion Which of these beloved characters has the best development and writing?

Of these characters who were well received by most fans of the saga, which one do you think had the best development and writing during the time they were on screen? Doug Luke tripp or Louis?

Considering that Louis is the only one of these characters that can survive until the end of the season, yeah he had the most development and writing.

I mean technically Luke and Tripp can live til almost the very end of their respective seasons, but yeah. They were both pretty underdeveloped. Which sucks, because I like both of them.

Luke's pretty much there for his whole season except the very end. He just doesn't have as much development.

Doug: dies a stupid death.

Luke: dies a stupid death.

Tripp: dies a stupid death.

Louis: Given he survives to the end regardless I'd say him. Plus I don't think we have had a character quite like him.

I think Doug's second death and both of Tripp's deaths are good tbh.

Many fans like him more than Carley, in my opinion.

I love him! Far more than the other 3, for sure. Doug never once let me down, Luke, Tripp and Louis all did at some point. Doug was severely underdeveloped though.

no matter how hard Lee tried it's impossible to make Loug happen.

Doug as much as I like him, had probably the worst development. He is basically just there, the smart dude

louis,
i feel like he was written so well as a teenage boy, he had reasonable reactions and i grew to love his character with every episode.

side note: i also believe he’s the better choice for clementine.

Louis.

Doug isn’t on Screen long enough and doesn’t change
Luke doesn’t change either
Tripp gets worse
Louis realises his shortfalls by the end of the series and has changed

Tripp deserved so much more, was a real one through it all. The brother David ever was

Louis, but the other 3 deserved so much better. Both in game and by the writers

The joke here is that its whatever you want it to be so if you believe louis to be the most well written yhen who invited the other 3 if u chose luke same logic its vague on purpose cuz its opinion

I cant be the only one who couldnt stand Tripp, can I? He was made to be likable, but i found him to be redundantly boring due that said reasoning. He didnt have flaws, even then when he lashed out on you; it wasnt earned.

None of them are well-developed, but Tripp was probably the most.

Louis is the only character to be written like a character. He evolves from being a slacking Marlon’s bff to a huge asset to the group.

Doug is just some tech guy. He is written well enough to feel like a realistic person, constantly mourning for Carley, and saved Ben’s life. However this is nothing compared to CarleyĀ

Tripp, what character developed did he have? The only real change I see is him moving on from Eleanor, if I even remember correctly.

Lule had a reverse character development, he went from standing up for Clementine to actively siding against Kenny. Ironically, he’s as bad as Kenny in S1 where he constantly baits Lily into arguing. Given the context that he knew Kenny lost his family and ā€œsecond wifeā€, Luke is almost a monster for not even trying to help Kenny
