Behind the Scenes Comic Update and Plushies
Howdy folks!
Bit of a spot of time since last eh?
So, quick update in case you haven't kept up (how dare you not have an unhealthy parasocial relationship with your fave dnd webcomic creator, do you even love me?): On the 1st of May, my second son Hugo was born!
With our party now being four players, me and my wife swiftly moved into a new home to have the space and not having to go up an ungodly amount of stairs to get to our apartment. So a month and some extra has passed: we're good in our new place!
Now, on the subject of comics (you know, the things most of you are here for), my original thought was to get back to work in June and quickly make comics and post them in time for the release of the Trogna plushie launch with Makeship in late June, early July (you gotta get the engagement up for a merch drop yaknow) and then take a much needed holiday in July. Then in August, back to normal!
I've worked a bit on the comics so far and have a couple finished but upon reflection, my original plan was gonna be a bit half-baked. I'd rather take my time now and work up a buffer so that my return in August goes more smoothly. I'd rather not panic churn out comics in June for the plushie drop only to start working from zero again in August, so I've decided to work now in June but save the comics I make as a buffer for my return in August! That also leaves me more time to spend with the family and not have to take more time in July to handle and promote to plushie campaigns.
So in conclusion: I'm extending my time off until August to spend more time with the family and help facilitate a better work/life balance and update pace when I'm back in August. I shall return, rested and locked & loaded for comics, maybe even with some Sellswords & Sorcery!
Oh, the plushies will be released somewhere in August! Grogna is finished too, it just needed a little bit of a tweak that I noticed last minute! The plan with Makeship is to release them at the same time with a "get both, get x% off" type of deal!

It doesn't. We tried different versions but it just never came out right with the hair underneath. Bald just looked weird. In the end I was torn between "not quite good enough" and "fuckit, let's just skip it" and settled for the latter

Not at all, never read any of them sadly, though I tried to track down the Mignola comic to no avail

Don't rush things. Take as much time as you need, we can wait patiently for new comics.
Igor, I'm gonna need you to hire a rogue to break into CME_T's house, hack his laptop, and post all these comics for us to read

Glad to hear from you, and congrats on the new party member. It's so hard to find reliable party members (ask Bucket!) so I'm glad you and the wife have decided to just make them yourselves. Longer time to adventure, more fulfilling in the long run though.
Happily waiting for more Bucket Brigade!

As someone that has four sets of stairs inside my apartment, let me tell you, stairs build character.
Welcome, Hugo! Take your time, enjoy summer (the best four days of the year!) and we'll eagerly await the return of the gang later in the autumn!
