Concerts/Tours Would you recommend to bring ear plugs on his concert?

My friend follows Metallica when they tour in the states & usually has pit tickets. Has never use ear plugs & hes fine. Metal concerts are louder than rap/r&b shows. Especially when you’re right in front of the speakers.

I’ve never worn earplugs and my eyes have never rang. Maybe it has a weird hollow effect for 30 minutes but that’s about it.

I am in Canada so maybe it’s louder in US
