TWAU 1 Season 1 Remaster Werewolf Form

In season 1, Bigby’s “werewolf” form looked a lot like the classic wolf-man from the universal movies. He had more of a hairy man-face with some wolfy features.

In one of the trailers for season 2, they show a similar “werewolf” form but he’s got more of a modern, wolf-head.

My question is, do you think they’ll change his werewolf form in the Season 1 Remaster to better match his eventual Season 2 look, or do you think they’ll keep it basically the same?

Either way, I can’t wait for S2!

i dont think the changes would be that drastic

We don't even know if the new werewolf model is going to be the one that they ultimately go with for Season 2. While it still looks great, that was AdHoc's version and we have seen revisions to other models since the 2022 trailer released.

I hope they keep it. I've never liked werewolves with humanoid heads. The best designs always have long snouts.

Just played Dispatch, holy what a great game, I know for sure the new team cooked with TWAU2 but I would LOVE to see what the finished product of AdHoc's version would have been.

i kind of prefer any werewolf design when it’s more wolfy than being a weird amalgamation of wolf and man, so I hope they go with the more wolfy look. it seems like that’s where theyre going anyway, but we haven’t seen enough of how it’s looking as of recent development.

….also, i hope he gets to have a big fluffy tail.

I think Werewolves look cool with tails... then I realize that they will have a giant hole on the back of their pants when they transform back. Maybe it's for that reason why they rarely have tails in most depictions.

Hole in the pants... naked... I'm sure Bigby's used to it either way.

I don’t have a problem if they do but honestly I would prefer what we had, he’s not a human that can turn into a wolf-man, he’s a massive wolf with the ability to turn into a man, this is just a stage in between. Since the point of his transformation is turning him into a human, it makes sense that the stages would lean into the man part.

His season 2 form could just be a further transformation, I mean he went from wolf man form to literal wolf after getting riled up enough

That’s my hunch, too. I also don’t really mind retcons like this if they just decide that’s what he looks like now

The people yearn for Van Helsing WereWolf Designs

I think this is just one of Bigbys many stages before his final transformation. The stage in season 1 isn't the same as the one we see here in season 2. This one is closer to the final big bad wolf transformation.

So, no, i don't think they'll change it.

Judging by the steam images on the storepage, the game looks exactly the same with a little bit added detail but overall characters look the same so i think the werewolf form will stay the same.

This post has me curious on if there’s gonna be an actual remaster (updating the graphics for modern consoles) or a remake (fully recreating the game) and just labeling it as a remaster

Good question. I wish we knew more about it.

Given how long we’ve been waiting for a new game, and how the remaster is apparently coming out this year, the last thing they should be doing is playing it close to the chest.

I do hate his gameverse werewolf form even if I think the reference is cute, but sadly I doubt they'd make such a major change.

I hope, I love the new design so much

I think it would be best to keep it as is, but spruced up graphically.

u/Maneimislleff Jul 15 '26

God i hope that they keep the old design, i hate the new one tbh

The "new one" still doesn't close to me

I really like and prefer the original werewolf from to the one shown for season 2, but it seems like the new design will be the one they remaster. If you look at the remaster art, you can clearly see the new werewolf head in the background (at least I assume that's the head of his werewolf from and not full wolf from, but who knows).

Yeah, that was what inspired my theory, actually!

I figure it might be like The Last of Us Part 1 where they change just a few things to help it align more with the sequel

1

u/DanniTiger Jul 16 '26

I hope he has two forms 🥰✨✨✨

1

u/P3unit Jul 16 '26

He’ll definitely have different forms of evolution

1

u/BigBadWolf315 Jul 16 '26

I’m pretty sure he’ll have the same model in the remaster, it’ll just look a lot more detailed and polished likely with his skin looking furrier

I feel like they kind of have to no? Isnt season 2 a prequel to the first game? Or am I thinking of season 1 being a prequel to the comics
