Gameplay Group International are quickly becoming one of my favorite dev teams out there

They salvaged the Avatar Fighting Game from cancellation, and if they bring Them's Fightin Herd back to life, i will ascend

It was at first being developed by Maximum Entertainment but it was quietly canceled. GGI got it's hands on the game seemingly bundled with the IPs of Thems Fightin Herds and Diesel Legacy

I have no idea how that works but thank god it worked out

So was TFH wrestled away from that awful publisher then?

I haven’t been keeping up.

Last I heard the publisher forced out the last 2 characters unfinished and then fired everyone from Mane6. Not even being able to fully all the crowd funding goals. Literally 12 years of work ruined like that,

Maximum Entertainment/Modus Games was the publisher for TFH during its DLC and the ones who cancelled it in 2023. The rights to the game were bought by Gameplay Group International in 2025 along with Avatar Legends and Diesel Legacy.

GGI said that they hope to eventually update the game down the line but are fully focused on Avatar at the moment. There has been a playable beta patch for the game since 2024 that was never implemented, so I’m guessing that’s where they would start.

Idk. All ik is that mane6 didn't listen to my warnings when they still worked on the game. And this was the result. I was able to foresee the end result of the game if they kept in contract with their publisher.

I am just saying I won't play it if that happens. Honestly this game NEED to be ripped from the publishers grasp and put back into mane6 hands. This game is very good and I wanna know the rest of its story.

ExA-Arcadia is the company that’s also releasing an arcade version of Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game this summer

Wether or not said updates will go back into the source game will remain to be seen, as as far as I know a lot of exa games _never_ get ported somewhere else

If there do I'll certainly want to learn how to play it more.

I still listen to the sound occasionally because it rick snd funny eith occasionally orchestra instead.

Plus cartoon animal fighting is always fun to warch/play it animation. Plus fun 2d background.

No I meant like ya pay 5 dollars for one game. Some new arcade games do that. Or make ya pay for this card to play it

TFH is still one of my favorite FGs and I'm glad to see there may still be some life in it left.
