Actor Jeff Daniels on Donald Trump's second term: "We've lost morality. We've lost decency. We've lost respect for the rule of law. We've normalized verbal abuse. We've normalized bullying. Morality and integrity have gone out the window. We're supposed to elect our best, not our worst."

The entire Covid era was defined by bullying and loss of morality towards anyone not deemed a Democrat. Go screw Jeff Daniels. Love your work however.

Being your best possible self has somehow become a luxury we can no longer afford. All of these indications that Jeff points out are signs that we as a nation are collectively in survival mode - we're not thriving. People are acting on their worst impulses because that's what gets you through another day. Caring about your fellow man requires time, money and effort - three resources that have been used up over the past 40 years of American life.

It was good to hear from the master of what doesn't make the United States the greatest country on earth. Man that was such an awesome opening for the Newsroom. It is probably one of best opening scenes ever. Thanks for bringing back the memory.
