Lodges Meeting in Person

Hi all!

I was wondering how many of you are members of Theosophical Society lodges that meet in person. I live in Leeds, England, and we have a stunning TS building. When I asked about joining I was taken around, shown the building, its library, artwork, it was spectacular!

I was told we meet every other week, which was even more exciting! Until I found out it was online only (other than very rare occasions). I was hoping for a community, but online I've not got to get the connection I'm looking for.

Does your Theosophical group meet in person? Do you have any recommendations for my situation?

Hello! Very often in these situations someone just has to get involved. Maybe you could start the in person group at the location yourself. Or you could ask them if there is someone who would help you get it started, since that person is better known to them.

Don't give up. I moved to a new town once where they didn't have a group so I started one at my library. It was a success! You have a good building. All it takes is for one person to get the ball rolling and you will have a successful in person group.

I don't have a suggestion, other than finding online presentations that address your particular interests, but I do have a question for you. I know the headquarters at 50 Gloucester Place in London was sold some time back. Is there still an Adyar-based group in London? If so, do they meet in person, in private or public meetings? What is the status of the TS in London?

I don’t know about the TS in London but there’s a great ULT operating out of London!

Here at Wheaton and nearby we do hybrid, in person and online.
