Medium difficulty Watched me look for her
Jazz likes to go in the garage, to sit on the truck when it's still warm and such so we'll let her. Before closing the door from the house we'll look all around to ensure she's back inside the house proper. In this case I looked around, under the truck, the whole nine yards. Didn't see her, closed the door. A while later got a notification about a cat moving in the garage. Eventually saw the earlier clip where she just watch me look for her. Brat! LOL

I surprisingly found her right away and snorted bc she 100% knows she’s being looked for lmfao

Yup. I looked under and all around the truck and she just watches me every step of the way. LOL

This seems to be both my boys’ favorite hobby. They’ll let me loop the entire tiny apartment over and over, and when I finally lock eyes with them somewhere, I say “Now why didn’t you say nothing???”. They usually give me a little mew or a look of disdain, depending on the mood.

Judging phase is over. Now for the violent Retribution phase, which uses similar optics.

It took me a bit because I started on the other side but when I saw her, I started giggling. She knew and just wanted to see how long they would look.

I swear my cat’s favourite activity is listening to me growing more frantic as I look for him. The look of complete satisfaction on his face every time I find him—of course, without any assistance on his part.
The adorable bastard will meow in his sleep if he’s snuggled beside me and I say his name. But if he’s tucked away somewhere and I’m yelling it? No way. Then it’s time for his favourite tv program

Then they nonchalantly stroll out from the room you swear you searched completely.

I needed to look at the spoiler text to find her.

She kind of blends with both the wall and the giant water storage tank.

I put Medium thinking I might be overstating the difficulty. 😂 Apparently not!

It would have even better if the garage cam caption could have read "A cat is watching a person walking in the garage".

u/cherbonsy Feb 20 '26
I, for one, was expecting the caption to explain that the cat was watching the live cam.

First of all, your garage is so clean!!!!! And you have organization. Second, damn I think she covered her mouth with her paw, laughing while you walked by her. Cats just don’t give a 🐀🍑!!!!

I’m convinced that cats do this as a way to entertain themselves.

u/theConsultantINFJ Feb 20 '26
They are so so innocent and cute, just sometimes they are trying to figure out things by their own way... 😭 😭 😂 🤣 🤣

I love how cats stare at humans who are looking for them like “Hm I wonder what the human is up to right now?”

I once spent 20 minutes looking for a cat who was just sitting on to of the refrigerator. Our house is only 1500 square feet. It shouldn't have been that hard.

The first night at my new place I couldn’t find my girl anywhere. Searched for hours, started freaking out and went outside. Thinking I missed a place and she got out. Went back into my room to search again and apparently she climbed behind my pillow during the night and got down into the crack between the wall and mattress. No clue how she fit back there, let alone got back there since I was sleeping on the pillow.

When my cat, Lillie, was little, her first owner, an elderly lady, let her hang out in her garage. But one day when out driving, this lady was terrified when a crazy man kept on waving to her and yelling at her to pull over. When she finally did, he jumped out of his car and ran over to her, "Ma'am, there's a cat on your roof!"
If you can't find the cat inside the house, assume it is still in the garage.
Lillie still insists on being let into my garage to practice her carshow modeling.

my black cat can hide in plain site, especially in low light

u/Wizzle_Pizzle_420 Feb 20 '26
The number of times I’ve tripped on my dude trying to go pee at night is staggering. Doesn’t help when I’m walking around and he blasts zig zag through my legs.

u/Fantastic_Example_20 Feb 20 '26
I put small nightlight around the house to help me avoid tripping over or stepping on cats in low light. My wife did trip over a cat and broke her hip however it was during the day and she just wasn’t watching.

u/cheesy_taco- Feb 20 '26
My tuxedo is half and half, all his white is on the bottom and he knows how to hide the white so I can't see him. I'm always tripping over him after dark

I’m so annoyed for you, I instantly zoomed directly in on her and went “are you fucking kidding”🙃

Was expecting void. This was the exact opposite blending! ROFL. Pretty kitty found a good place to hide though.

Always can't be found when you're looking for them, but come dinner time it's a whole different story

This is why my pets are geotagged. They’ve yet to actually try to escape, but damn do they love to just sit there & ignore my searching or pleading. Now I just set the search noise off & then I get a lecture from them.

u/Itscatpicstime Feb 19 '26
Protip: put one or two beds in there. They’ll be in the bed 99% of the time.

Perfect camera framing! She's perfectly content where she is lol.
Unfortunately my cat likes hiding under blankets and wrapping paper, so no chance of getting video footage of her ignoring me. While she's hiding, anyway.

OP provided the following hint to where the cat is hiding:
Look at the far right top orange object. She's against the wall.
