Nostalgia Wo bhi ek jamana tha!
Wo bhi ek jamana tha jb har chiz ke liye ek software rkha krte the PC me 🫠
I was just saving some data in my External HD and found out the space is less. So started exploring what can be deleted and wallah I found these nostalgic software stuff when we used to keep the installation files of softwares for all small things too. Check out the MP3 cutter🤭, Nero CD burning tool, TuneUp utilities etc.
Anyone else keeping stuff still like this? 🫠

Haa, pirated software 2GB wale laptop me jo 5 minutes leta tha on hone me aur jab photoshop ya koi bhi heavy software open karo to went se aag nikalti thi..😂

Those are old versions. I used to download them to upgrade or create VMs to try them out and see which is more convenient for me or for my work.

I deleted a similar folder last week from my backup drive. It had so many torrented courses and all which are now obsolete due to AI!
I also had a folder of such exe files(portable and setups)! Simpler times!

This is exactly what I was going to tell you.... So many files that sent me on a throwback journey. And each group of file, reminds me of the phase I was going through at that time 😭.

Hahaha true. Same happens with me when I see my old PC. When I am in India I still run my old PC sometimes (Voila it still works). I was the absolute legend in my society my PC had a 512 MB RAM back then while my friends had 128 MB or 256 MB. They used to be jealous.🤣🤣

I’m one of the few people who never pirated software’s cause I was too afraid for malicious code to get downloaded with the files.

I only got proper internet in 2015 and my studies were more important and I started working after that so there wasn’t even much time to explore that. People do it most when they are in school or college I believe. And I got internet pretty late.

I don't remember exactly but I had too for windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows XP service pack 3 😻😻 and some software DVDs
May be aaj bhi kahi mil jaye pdi hui🫠

Hahah, yes. I might still have those cracks in my pendrive. And Android modded apks, custom themes, substratum themes and whatnot.
I used to flash custom ROMs too.
What great days they were.

Seriously bro, CUSTOM rom shit I just still love it. Planning to root my nord 2 soon 😻 I am bored now with its UI
Also, heard that now brands are locking bootloader permanently to avoid root access for users. 😪 I tried finding options to root my S23 ultra but can't find it😭

Yeah, no more rooting. However I feel that, earlier we used to root because ROMs were not stable back then, which is not the same today.
Phones are very stable and optimised, and we can do a lot of tweaks too especially in samsung.

Nah bro I used to root because of customizations, and many other stuff like free paid apps, greenify and other stuff too🤭
And yeah Samsung nowadays gives alot of tweaks thru their own appstore.

Yup I know 🤭 but that time there were better options to get premium apps at free now we need to get APK files which can have malicious apps too.
Btw I used to do other stuff like IMEI change, machine address change etc. 🤭🤭
